had my last committee meeting yesterday for the allotment, now i can just attend as a heckler ;)

i'm hoping for dry weather tomorrow so that i can get to the allotment and start to tackle the weeds. Was unintentionally made to feel very guilty about the state of our plot. oops

well we didn't get the dry weather but i did get to B&Q and bought some plants/trees. I know some pooh pooh their plants but i've never had a duff one yet.
bought some fruit trees and a thornless blackberry bush, along with some seed spuds, lavender, rosemary and chives.

we also bought some paint for our living room. Was given the helpfull information that white vinegar will remove the mould linked to the damp issues, and that if we mix some water with pva glue and paint that on the walls before decorating it does pretty much the same job as anti damp paint but for a fraction of the cost. I've got loads of vinegar so will start with that tomorrow.
It's suposed to be dry tomorrow so i am going to get up the lottie and take phot's. I really want to scrap a year in the life of the allotment so i can see the progress we've made and so i have a memory of when seeds were planted, what grew and what didn't grow etc.

got to the allotment today, only really took some photos but at least it's not as bad as this time last year, gives me hope that we will get it under control. We did spot 4 of the elephant garlic plants that didn't appear last year, and some rather woody curly kale which we pulled up and have fed to the animals. They think they're tasty.

good luck with you lotty growing . it doesn't seem to be something that you get over here, ie allotments... i guess that it is because house plots were so big in the old days

i guess it's time to get on amazon and see if there's a 'how to identify weeds' book. either that or i can invite Pippi and the stripey ones down for a holibob. :)

I have such a book.....! Post pics and I'll tell you for free though!

Lot tie pics look great - brilliant news on the garlic and the seed/set planting. I started off my shallots in seed trays on Saturday too :) need to do my onions!!
