thanks Miggy, i've started doing some scrapbooking about my dad as i know we're on borrowed time and that it will kill me for a long time to try and do some when he's in heaven.0

had a good day with my mum today, did it small amount of christmas shopping, mostly involving buying some funky wool to knit some scarves with. They will be lovely and warm which is their main aim.
I also had a little look at a new car but i've come away without it. It is on the list of needs in the not so distant future but i'll have to wait a bit longer.0 -
had a nice day today as well. Visited a friend this morning and then spent the afternoon with OH and just pottering around getting jobs done.
Made a roast, Mr LT bought one of those shakey baggy things for chicken which i felt i'd better use, well i used the garlic one and it was horrible, very very salty so bad i felt it burnt my tongue! would not recomment them to anyone and unfortunately he also bought the mixed herbs one
I've finished knitting the first scarf for the MIL and have started the one for my step mum. there's a knitting circle above the wool shop in town that i found yesterday so i may just have a look into it, it may be a good way to meet some new people.0 -
Hi Lemon
I agree with you about the highly publicised cook in a bag ... I bought the one for ribs...really really salty. Will not be buying again no matter if its 50p or a 1p. Could do much better myself to be honest.
Glad you had a nice time with your mam. It must be very difficult to do the scrapbook about your dad but I am sure it will turn out well and you will always have it.
Take care

thanks, glad i'm not the only one who thought they were kack!.
we had a viewer today so please can everyone keep their fingers crossed. She had a face like a wet weekend so it will be interesting to she what her response is about what she saw.
i've also sorted Mr LT's new car insurance. Just by ringing up we've saved him another £30 ish so that's a good lesson for us all to learn. What wound me up the most was after we got him insured elsewhere, and phoned the current ones to cancel the renewal they said they could give him exactly the same for the same money - why didn't they do that to start with?? it's just greed!
EQ i'm planning on going to a crop (scrap book day) on saturday so i'm planning on trying to get everything ready to get much of the work done for then. I'll just have to figure out exactly what i want to do.0 -
nice one on the car insurance. But yes I agree it is a pain they don't offer the best price at renewal

well we're still awaiting feedback from last night, when i spoke to the estate agent her phrase was that the woman had a face like a smacked back side so i'm happy that the face wasn't due to our flat but rather due to her natural visage.

not much else to report - finances are ticking over, i need to transfer OH's insurance money to my savings account ready for next months CC statement, so i'll do that tonight before he spends it
