the first batch had a missing ingredient - flour doh!
    the second were incinerated :(

didn't end up making cakes, yet, instead i stewed all the pears left from our tree. A very strange fruit to stew i have to tell you. guess i'm gonna have to use a blender to make it into a sauce to freeze for future puddings.

Yay to bingo wins!! I found a fantastic recipe for microwaveable flapjacks - would have been fantastic if only I had microwaved for about 2 mins shorter than the recipe suggested. They were more crunch than chewy! (very quick to do though!)

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!

When I say crunchy.... I should have said something more along the lines of 'jaw-breaking'!!

Here is the recipe I followed http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/356/chewy-microwave-flapjacks.aspx - I would suggest reducing the actual cooking time to about 3 - 3.5 mins if you would like them chewy!! lol

thank heavens it's the weekend that's all i can say! been a horrible week at work and my hospital treatment was cancelled today which really makes me want to go grrrrrrrrr!

visited my parents on the way home from work and checked over the Legion accounts, at least that's now down for a while :)
got some stuff from Lidl including some yogurt so i think i may make a yogurt cake or two this weekend. Mr LT is working 12hrs tomorrow and 6 on the sunday so i'm spending a lot of time on my own.
I have organised to meet up with my mum for coffee tomorrow morning, and to see if i can sort out the kids savings accounts for my sisters kids. and i'm goning to visit a friend on sunday morning to see how they're progressing on their house.

it's my dad's 75th birthday at the end of the month, he doesn't want anything so i'm trying to figure out what i can do for him on his day. I was thinking about scrap booking a small story book about him. I may even try to get one of those recording chips so i can read what i've written as he's almost completely blind and it's getting worse. Not sure though what does anyone think?

That's a really nice idea for your Dad. I know my Mum and I get a lot out of shared memories, and the human voice is so personal... :)
