Got my field commander this morning, very pleased with prompt service. Reckon those really cheap ones may have been a mistake (locoroco) and they have had to back out of it ???

But £14.99 for field commander delivered is very good indeed. Apart from LocoRoco, it is supposed to be the best PSP game according the gamecentral Channel 4 teletext.

Furious!!! Called today to see where my order of Lemmings was and told no trace of my order although my CC was debited on Friday. After a lengthy wait said there was a blip in system and my order didnt make it to processing! How convenient. End result - no game, no apology and promised my card would be refunded today. By the way they are trying to say Lemmings is discontinued which is not true!

empire direct seem to make a habit of advertising things they dont have, deducting money from credit cards for goods they cant supply and then taking an age to process refunds - some might say this is pretty close to fraud and should be reported to trading standards? anyway people would be well advised to steer clear of this dodgy outfit

I know that there are already a lot of negative comments on the board about empire direct and I just wanted to throw my 2 pence worth in...

Don't buy from empire direct!!

They prices they advertise at are not the prices you may end up paying - I once tried to buy a camera from them - advertised for £40 - and I got charged £80 for it...

Needless to say - I returned the camera for a refund, but surely it must be against the law to advertise a product at one price and sell at another...?

It took about 3 very angry phone calls to get them to accept the return - and they wouldn't accept the fact that they had quoted me £40 in the first instance even though I had an email with that price on!

I still hadn't heard anything about the two games i ordered for pick up from store on the 25th so called the head office today instead of the store.They said they should be calling me from the store any time now so at least he didn't say no you canj't have them which is something i suppose(and one was Lemmings).But i get the feeling he was just saying that though.It takes them 5-7 working days to send them from what,one park of the country to the other?
Why's it take that long,they could have posted them 2nd class to the store and got them there in 2 days.
Or i could have even flown to OZ myself say to pick them up and got back before they get them;)

I requested the store collection option, funds were taken from my cc account.
I decided to phone today as I had heard nothing, was told that my order was cancelled and that my account would be refunded shortly.

I'm giving them another 24 hours to respond and then complaining to trading standards in Leeds (where they are based). I would recommend others to the same - the more who do, the more effective it will be...
