  • field commander £14.99 inc 2nd class delivery (as I am a cheapskate). They reckon this is the one to take on advanced wars, we shall see, given advance wars is one of the best games ever made, it will be a hard act to follow.
    Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund. :rolleyes:

    EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D
  • Hi I put in an order for a GBA game last night but had email today to say out of stock and not getting any more in. But thanks anyway, I will need to be a bit quicker next time!

    "Thank you for your recent order. Unfortunatley, due to high demand the item you have ordered is out of stock. We must allocate the stock on a 'first come, first serve' basis and I am afraid to say we do not have enough free stock to allocate to your order on this occasion. The unit has now been discontinued by the manufacturer and our stocks will not be replenished."

    Apart from needing to run their replies through a spellchecker, what kind of online system lets you place orders when they obviously can't meet demand(!)

    It reminds me of comedian John Pinette when he says:
    "...they should count the number of people going onto foreign ferries to stop them turning over, the ferries should take 50 people and they put 400 on. They should have a clicker...49, 50...stop."...

    How can they have been discontinued when they aren't old games...this is pure rubbish me thinks as they have now jumped up to full price on their website.....Do you think they will let me have different games at the same price i ordered locoRoco and lemmings at....

    They have taken the funds from my cc. I have not yet received notiforcation that I can collect my item. Hopefully that will be in the near future.

    Got all of my games this morning! Fantastic - two happy sons at Xmas (one with a PSP already, one still to get one).
    The delivery note didn't have prices on it though, and my CC online is always behind the times so don't know if they charged me the discounted prices yet.
    Hope they have - saved me a fortune! :D

    My delivery came today and i had ordered World Tour soccer 2 as stated on their website and on my email confirmation. I found they had sent me World Tour soccer the original not number 2 which is what i expected???
    I have rang them and they have told me that a sales rep will call me to arrange pick up of the wrong game and deliver the right game.
    Now waiting for that call???????:rolleyes:

    Reading the comments on here I'm expecting the worse from them??

    At least they are sending out cancellation emails.
    Last time I ordered from Empire Direct they took payment for the games I had ordered then phoned to say they were currently out of stock but would send them out when then were available.

    5 weeks later I had to phone them to get my money back :mad:

    Just out on interest and sorry for going OT but you haven't got a HSBC credt card by any chance have you?;)
    I ask because i have and i have complained to them several times about how their online system doesn't update until at least the next day and not until after midday at the earliest:rolleyes:
    Oh and add to that it doesn't update from Friday afternoon until the following Tuesday:rolleyes:

    I haven't had any emails either and i went for store pick up but they have taken the correct money and i did call them to be told the items were being sent down to my store and it's usually 4-5 days.
