Are you certain it was sold as 3GB.

The Samsung 150N is no longer a current offering on their website - cheapest netbook is an Acer and that costs £29 on a £25 1GB contract or free on a £30 3GB contract (both being 24 months).

My bet is that although he may have mentioned 3GB what you actually bought and doubtless signed for was 1GB.

You often find that offers over here are different than what you get on the mainland or see on the websites.

printed out a sheet detailing the terms and all the facts and figures involved in this, then i read through it, and all the figures stacked up, so i signed it, and he processed it and gave me my netbook with wireless internet sim and gave me a receipt

Is the sheet you have the same as the one where you checked all the facts and figures .
    IE sheet checked = 3GB
    Sheet you now have = 1GB .

  • Sorry, I forgot to mention on my earlier post that when I took out my new Samsung netbook/ Vodafone contract with Curry's, it was for the updated N220 netbook, so drew you appear to be double diddled by Vodafone.

In reply to an earlier post unfortunately I don't have home insurance as I have found that whenever I make a claim somehow it never makes it through the small print e.g. having a fridge over 10 years old means no-go if it leaks and damages the floorboards.
Still, that theft is my first hit over four years of not taking out home insurance.

But you would at least be covered for theft, fire and flood...
You've saved perhaps £1000 over 4 years? How much would a total contents loss cost you? Anything between £10,000 and £50,000?

i have both the copy of the sheet he gave me detailing what i was signing up for, which he showed me and talked me through the whole way through, so i was aware of what i was going for, then he took a signed copy of it, then gave me a copy of ny signed copy, which does definately say 3gb. then when he put scanned it through on his computer and gave me my receipt, it sayd 1b which i also have, i dont know what he was up to on his comp from when he got me to sign until the stage when he changed the deal and gave me the lower gb contract!!

i will be giving them the netbook back, which HE opened in store to show me, not me, i was given it open, which wouldnt have bothered me since i was buying it, and it was sealed until HE did that, and if they try to pull the "its 2nd hand as its opened" i will be asking for footage of the cctv for that day to prove that i didnt open it and that it was him who opened it, further backing my case by giving me another point to argue, that they sold me in their own words a "2nd hand" netbook.

i wont be beaten on this one, it has me so frustrated that he will try to get away with this, well from what you all seem to be saying, i may strike it lucky and find that he is decent, realises his mistake and the trouble it has caused me and say "ok i was wrong, i will cancel your contract and take everything back, no more 24 month contract" like i would be so lucky!! there arent any decent people out there these days when it comes to the world of sales of any kind! but as i say, i wont be beaten!!!:mad::mad:

I was feeling for you until you tarred all sales people with the same brush, that's a very sweeping statement ..... and quite offensive actually.

So what they'll almost certainly do is up your monthly allowance to 3GB. But they won't void your contract.
Seems to me that you've now realised what a bad deal the whole 'free' scam is and want to use this to get out. Sorry but it won't work.
