Hello, today was my last but one Homestart training day. We are going to have a Christmas lunch. I know it's a bit humbug but I would rather work through and get an hour at home before I have to pick the kids up.
DD1 & DS3's last swimming lesson of term and parents were allowed to watch. DD1 can now swim a few yards and DS3 swam 15! I'm really pleased. It costs a fortune but is a necessary spend.
DS1 has a new babysitting job so that will keep him in funds for a little while. His job at the pub didn't work out. They used him very badly and then dropped him with no notice. I have left lots of bad reviews on the relevant website. I'm disappointed at the way they treated him.

Ok,
Since my last post I have washed the paintwork in the hall and tidied my mug/glass cupboard in the kitchen. Made a list of all information I need for the ESA phone call.. names addresses etc. Dusted down the mantle piece and tv which seem to be constantly dusty having an open fire.
Also had a phone call. I put a card in my ebeasting items with my number on and address in case of any problems and I had managed to send a jumper to number 19 instead of 16. The lovely man at number 19 called me and is going to pop round to drop the jumper into his neighbours. Such a lovely guy. Thought about maybe sending him a christmas card to say thank you.. what do you all think?? Nice or annoying?

Whether the weather be cold
or whether the weather be hot,
we must weather the weather,
whatever the weather,
whether we like it or not.

hi Pud
I like the poem
I gather you're in Lunnon village - what are the weather/roads like? We're coming down to your neck of the woods this w/e (it's my birthday and we're meeting up with some friends)
Not too much accomplished in terms of flying - I am NOT putting my tree up this week though. Because of my birthday, our decs always go up on the weekend between that and Christmas. Will have some soup now, and then snuggle in front of the fire I think, while I finish Christmas cards. Pretty cold!!
Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe. Hugs and spoons to LL, Diva, LW and toots. Hugs to vanilla too. Sisters can be really frustrating.

Onestep,
roads not bad round here, mains are super, side roads it depends on your local council
Ours are OK,(Greenwich), further out in Bexley the side roads are carp.
Depends what your driving, car wise. Also what time your getting into the smoke. Mornings we have had freezing fog, not good ice wise, but this is gone by midday usually.
Hope this helps. PudC.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Good evening everyone  We had our work meal today - and I was so pleased I wasn;t driving  I'll be taking the bus to work tomorrow - the drive to the office was fine, but there;s nowhere to park apart from on sheet ice
I'll try to catch up, but in the meantime hugs, spoons and sticks as you like :A
