  • Well, not a no spend day for me today, but did get a free lunch and made the most of it. Cheekily took extra fruit for the rest of the week. :o

Had to get birthday present for my neice but the money came out of the birthday fund account. Had 3 collections for people leaving work, I gave £1.50 each, don't think that was too stingy.

Went swimming this evening with Mum and Lil' sis, it cost £3.10! I have a discount card but it would have cost me £15 to renew it for a year, I'm not sure I'll go swimming that often, to justify the savings. Really enjoyed the swimming though, so should work out what the discount amounts to.

Weighed myself today, I've lost 3lbs, so only 1lb to go and I'll have lost the weight I put back on over Christmas. Hopefully will be back under 10 stone in a couple of weeks.

  • Congrats on the weight loss!

Do you go swimming at the main regional pool? If so, is it OK these days?

  • Thanks LA

Yes at the regional, it's still really minging, but my Mum likes to go there because it's ladies only on a Wednesday from 8-10, it means I get to do Mother/Daughter bonding in a stress free environment. :rotfl:

  • Ahh, I wondered if it was still a bit.....well....y'know! But good that they have a ladies night still. I haven't been for years, not since I was walking back to my changing cubicle and realised I had a clump of someone's hair on my foot
      (BIG STYLE!)

But you are right - good to have bonding time!

Well done on DFWness and fantastic weight loss. Do you have to eat cereal on this diet? For dinner? Don't think I could cope with that. Need to lose some weight though.

Thanks, yes, cereal for two meals and a healthy third meal. It's ok because you can have a variety of cereal, and it's only for two weeks. I must admit I haven't stuck to it religiously but it is a really good kick-start for healthy eating.

  • Had a sausage and mushroom sandwich today with a latte :o I will be vegetarian eventually, I will, I will, I will.

Oh, it cost £2.15. I did however have my cereal for lunch instead of the yummy panini I was craving. I had a Twix later in the day too. Not very good at all.

I did go out at lunch time for some fresh air and recommended my friend to A & L so will get £25 soon. Will do the same for him to so we each get another £25.

I store cupboard cooked this evening. Chick pea and vegetable curry served on red lentils. It was yummy and made 2 portions so I've frozen the other one.

I've got my Rose Elliot 'Cheap & Easy' vegetarian cook book by my side and am trying to plan next weeks meals. I intend to be a lot more organised than this week.

I've decided to do a detox this weekend and really kick start a healthy eating regime. I've got lots of PC work to do so won't be leaving the house except to run on Saturday. I'm building websites, scanning in our family slides, catching up on my emails, updating my blog and putting stuff on e-bay. Busy, busy, busy.

Have an issue approaching though, the screen on my mobile is giving out on me so I may have to fork out for a new one soon. Only really text on it and use for calls in emergencies so will just get a cheap handset and swap the sim card over.

    Thanks for the info Bobble

But cereal twice a day doesn't sound too healthy to me, but what do I know. Hope it's worked for you though.

  • Friday night, feeling lonely and sorry for myself. Bought cheap bottle of wine though, although really wanted the more expensive bottle. DWF guilt kicked in and I bought the bargain.

So a little tipsy and tearful. Anyone else get nights like this? No particular reason, well have a huge crush on someone I see every day and feel rejected every day, but also know it's all in my head, because he's so far from interested and I know that too.

Blah, rambling, forgive me. Also annoyed at myself because I spent far too much this week.

  • Oh bobble_hat I get tearful if I have a little drinky and put music on that I listened to when I was a young rock chick and was madly in love for the first time :D. Sometimes memory lane does need to be visited once in a while, and a cry is good for us isn't it, so I've been told. Anyway hope you feel much better tomorrow. Plan something nice for yourself, even if it's curling up with a good book for half an hour. :D x

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.
