Afernoon folks - was out overnight with friends but had to take the train. The journey to the station was difficult enough! Had a really lovely night though and it was well worth the hassle. Didn't go to bed until 3.00a.m. and so zonked out. Was on the train back by 10.00a.m'ish and home by 11.00a.m.
Cars still stuck in our street - it's a no-through road which also means, apparently, it's a no-grit and no-cleared road! On the funny side yesterday morning a number of the cars had rude things 'drawn' in the snow covered bonnets. Think I've got a penis on my car! :rotfl::rotfl:
Still emptying the freezer - got milk and bread the other day and will now remain cosy and catch up with some recorded programmes.
Hope people can remain well and warm. It's a bit difficult in this weather, I know.0 -
Afternoon my lovelies
Our festive tune for the day is this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXCEdrnaFlY&feature=related in light of the rain I had yesterday (listen for the words "but instead it just kept on raining")
I grew up with my dad a massive Emerson, Lake and Palmer prog rock fan so it was kinda nice to discover a song with Greg Lake that I liked :rotfl:
Late on here today, DS had a birthday party at a Wacky Warehouse and we've not long got back. I've sent H out to sweep up the leavesI've written a list of things I need to get done this week and it's as long as my arm  I foresee less time spend on the 'puter
Not sure what's for tea tonight (CBA to cook) and I need to make a start on my jobs so had better get cracking.

Afternoon everyone!
Had an exhausting day at the Clothes Show yesterday, I was very controlled and spent no where near as much money as I have in previous years :T Got to see Gok Wan who was presenting the show,I love him! He was very funny and very much as you see him on tv.
Today OH and I are clearing out some furniture from his granny's house who passed away earlier this year. The house is on the market now and as we're in the process of buying our house we've been told we can take what we like from the house as no one else wants it! So we're getting a nice three-piece, fridge and washing machine that are hardly used, a kitchen table, stools and chairs which I can have a play with varnishing and painting and a few other little bits and bobs.
OH and his Dad are taking some rubbish to the dump at the moment and I've come home to change the bed and tidy up a little. Funny though, I've ended up on here instead and I've done no tidying!
Hopefully we'll get the christmas decs up this evening, I'm not sure I can wait any longer! :xmastree:
Have a lovely afternoon everyone0 -

Got tofeel better later, we're out for a meal for Mr LW's bathday. Tbh, I'd as soon stay in, but he wants to go, and it's his celebration. So I'm doing nowt this afternoon, saving my spoons.;)
Oh yes, I made the tom + lentil soup pollys posted the recipe for, last night; it was fabulous! That's going to become one of our regulars, methinks - and it was so easy, too, and made from ingredients I always have in stock.:)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Happy Birthday to Mr Lame Wolf. Hope you have enough spoons to enjoy tonight xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Afternoon everyone, i've hit a wall with the work. I've run out of motivation to do the really hard stuff and have started pottering around the internet. I'll probably put dinner in soon and will do bits of work whilst cooking.OH bought a massive chicken from lidl for £3 so it's roast tonight and rubber chicken week! I'm thinking...
giant filled yorkies tomorrow,
chicken sandwiches,
chicken stew w/dumplings,
chicken soup.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Afternoon all and special hugs to those of you feeling under the weather....tru, can feel your frozen shoulder pain, had it earlier in the year and thought that it was a heart attack!
Nothing happening here, did the 2 fires early so house is comfortable, hoovered living room, we then went out for breakfast and called to brother on way back to meet Saki, nephews new puppy.....lovely little thing, but Kerry has been sniffing suspiciously at me since I came home and I am not really her best friend....spoilt brat.
Not having any dinner today....well, not cooking as breakfast was huge, cheese, pate and fresh bread will be the exciting menu I think.
Not sure if I will get to my knitting group to-morrow, hope so as need to take a book back to library and get some lame type of stuff to complete mouse angels I am knitting for DGDs for Christmas....especially for the two in London, will not wrap them so that they have something to have when parcel arrives, books have already arrived so for once I am semi organised.
Snow is taking its time to leave us, has been thawing since Friday night most of the time, but we still can't see grass anywhere and its a chancy thing to get in and out of gate, road we are on has a ridge of snow in centre, but main roads are ok...no more snow promised thankfully but its to be very cold for the next week at least.
Take care all, keep warm
