Greasy Palm Cashback.....

Not sure if this is the right board to put this on but i will give it a go.

I becam a member of Greasy palm around Oct and had opened up many accounts knowing basicaly i will get cashback so i wasnt loseing anything, I had also compleated online apps, loans, etc. that stated that i would gain cashback for doing this.
Well after tying to find out why i had not recieved cashback for for a few accounts that i had opened and applications that i had compleated online.
I was told that i must of had a firewall on my pc that had blocked the the tracking which inturn blocked the cashback link for greasy palm.
I was also told NOT to rely on The cashback tracker on their site as it was NOT Reliable

Yet on their site they reccomend you to download this feature and use this as it would ensure you get the cashback offerd for each account opend or offer that you take part in.
I have not really gained anything from greasy palm and the the money that was sent to me only coverd what i had spent to recieve the cash back if that makes sence, without going into much detail.

I have all the letters that were sent to me from the companys that i had applied for, services, with reference no and the date that i had applied. Does anyone know if i would be entitled to anything back by having proof that i had applied online.....

To be honest with you i would not reccomend Greasy palm, they are Not as reliable as they state in their Promise.
has any1 else had any problems with this site??

I must admit I have had several items that haven't been credit for and am beginning to think its a con.

I recently purchased some items from Maplins and booked a holiday and paid cash, although the holiday was only booked a couple of weeks back.

I use Firefox browser which isn't computable with there system. So I make sure I use IE and have that program installed that they give.

I have an open ticket which hopefully I will get resolved.

I give them benefit of doubt with two items bought in October from Argos which haven't been credited for either and noticed that Argos no longer is given on there web site.

Is this a con? unsure but I have heard other people say they also aint been paid, so what is going on?

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

Argos decided they sold stuff cheap enough and weren't going to continue with the referrer/cashback idea anymore.

I've had a few things go walkabout...one being a sizeable insurance cashback which never got credited.

To be fair though, once I'd got in touch and they'd looked into it, then the cashback was credited.

On the whole I think they're ok but you DO have to keep an eye on things.

As to the original question, I would definately get in touch with Greasy Palm, citing dates and details of transactions. You may get the cashback applied retrospectively, you may not but it is certainly worth a go imo.

i have to admit, that i have had problems as well.. although most queries i raise do get resolved, due to having quote a large sum waiting to be collected, but not enough to draw out, i am holding on and building it up slowly.

I would recommend linemypocket as a preference, i have had plenty of money back via amazon vouchers.... :D

I had issued aticket and recieved an email asking for dates and reference no. so i replyed and gave alll details of accounts opend and online applications. But was told that my personal firewall could of blocked them (i deactivated my p.firewall ages ago) They said they had not got paid niether  .....
Their own Rebate cathcher is Highly Reccomended by Greasy Palm
and there is No mention that it Is Not 100% reliable

Ive kept all my reference numbers and dates of the companys i had dealt with on g.palm. But i dont think there is anything more i can do. And it is a shame that you have to moan about something thats meant to be fun and benneficial to you as it takes away the whole idea of a bargain.

    ya still freezing :p

  • ..for what it's worth, in my experience you need to keep a record of all the transactions you make with any of the cashback sites as invariably some payments go astray. However, with persistence they are normally sorted out if you keep following up any that have been missed.
