If it said phone restricted after entering the codes and not code error I think you may have entered to many codes and it will need to be unlocked by cable. Local market for about a fiver.

I've tried the suggestion, but still don't seem to have any success.

When I type in the first code, I get a report that the 'sim is unlocked'. If I put in the second, it tells me there is a 'code error'.

Still though, other sims won't work.

Do I give up now, or might there be something else I can do?

can the emblaze sting 6 be unlocked from virgin.
I know it is a newish entry to the UK market and there are not that many about, just wonder if one of the resident experts know anything.

Insert a WRONG sim card, one that doesn’t work in your phone. When it says phone restricted, press ‘undo’. It will ask you for a restriction code, and input the code into the box on the screen.
