i tried about 5 times entering different codes generated by free nokia calculator with no luck.is there a difference in unlock codes for 6230 & 6230i? please can someonehelp. phone 6230i imei:356644009333043 was on orange thank you

If you have tried 5 times it's more than likely your phone is now hardlocked, what message come up on the screen the last time.

Sorry BH, maybe I am a little thick, but nothing happened when I typed that in. Just to clarify, the pw is the phone password, default 12345 in this case, and you do include the +'s

Sorry, I'm a bit lost here, I gave you an unlock code, which you requested, did it work. Now you are saying a security code.

I entered the unlock code as I saw it with pw = the phone password (12345), is that correct? but the phone did nothing, just waited a few seconds and went back to insert sim screen. I tried it with the alt. sim in and it still did nothing, just went back to invalid sim

I've never done this before, so not sure waht the pw is.:o

This is how it’s done.

Press * twice for +
Press * three times for p
Press * four times for w

Now enter the code I gave you.
