    Insert a WRONG sim card, one that doesn’t work in your phone. When it says phone restricted, press ‘undo’. It will ask you for a restriction code, and enter the code in to the box on screen, and input that code.

    I got the Nokia 1600 via the LX offer onthe grabbit forum, can it be unlocked, for free of course?

    Or if I have missed a mail on this thread, please tell me the page

    Thanks very much, I will try it when husband gets home with his sim. Would you also be able to tell me, if I want to use this phone again for my O2 sim once I have unlocked it, will I be able to? Thanks a lot.

    IMEI number should be 15 digits, type in *#06# or look under the battery.
