I recently purchased some pink tools for my sister in law who is early 20's. They were all from poundland and I got a wicked set of them for £5!!

  • Sell some stuff in ebay double-quick.

    Pawn your jewellery

    Negotiate a £100 overdraft facility

Check charity shops for an inexpensive gift on the promise of another when the pay-check arrives.

Can you make her something ?
Can you raid your make/up-cream/shampoo etc stash for anything new ?
    Charity shop ?
    Ebay ?
I would be inclined to spend most of the money on food tbh, depending on what you have in already!

  • Hey there OP

You've had some fab ideas for presents already, as for your food budget there are loads of super cheap recipes on this site cheap-family-recipes.org.uk, and there are loads of great threads here on OS for meals on a budget too, well worth having a read through.

Hope it all works out and you have a great Christmas xxx
  • can you knit? If so how about knitting a hot water bottle cover and wrap it up with a hot water bottle? Or a mobile phone cover as you don't need much wool for that.

What about making some vouchers on the printer promising a day out for a future date?

Have you got any tesco vouchers to spend they do cinema tickets which you could wrap up.

Look round the charity shops for bargain games, it doesnt matter if they are not new.

Are there any jumble sales in your area?

could you get a cheapo bar of choc (sainsburys basics is very cheap) take off the wrapper and cover with foil then print out a new wrapper with whatever message and make it personal to her with her name on or a photo.

    look on freecycle?

ask around friends and family to see if they are selling anything off cheap?

Good luck, whatever you do I'm sure she will appreciate it as its from the heart.

Could you do her a voucher of some sort....like you print it out and give her eg a shopping trip with you in the new year and up to X amount to spend ? Give her a wee thing, like home made fudge or something with it ?
