Filling drums of home heating oil

For anyone in Dorset... I know 2 places that will fill containers. bear in mind though, that carrying 25l containers up a ladder and trying to pour them into a 6 inch hole in the top of a tank is not easy. For a start, when you tip a FULL container, there is a 2ft gap between between top of can and tank opening, and it will glug and make the aim even more difficult, so be prepared to lose some!
Tinknell, Gillingham (01747 823184)... they will even sell you the drums. However, it does not come cheap. £5 for each 25l drum, £1 per litre all plus VAT = £124 for 100l! Obviously, if I went back, I would only have to pay for the oil, not the drums.
Darch, Yeovil (by Screwfix) 01935 473302. I know they do it, but don't know their terms.0 -
