But the downside is you have to live in Watford :)

I saw this one last night and thought it should be kept for those "Neighbour from Hell, what can I do?" threads: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1393530/Vigilantes-burn-home-burglar-targeted-neighbours--leaving-NOTHING.html

Our headline is 'Fear that feral dog is attacking animals' and there's a second main story about why a chap called Terry has had to give up ferret racing for a while. As you can see, we are very animal orientated here.....;)

But....on page 2 there is a small article about GDB's Norfolk people not being hurt in the fire in Bideford! :j

And just in case you thought there's no sex or smut here, a 53 year old lecturer from the local college has been dismissed for sleeping with an adult student in her twenties. Seems a bit unfair, as not only were they consenting adults, but the student didn't complain. "The Journal understands that the complaint about Mr X did not come from her, but from a third party." :naughty:

'Hell hath no fury....' and all that.

It all happens here, we have an e-fit of a sex attacker and a new factory opening in the nearby town. And loads of charities walks, talks and awards.

Lake Eyre's got water in it for the third year running. Normally it fills up once a decade.

Oh and Australia has finally joined the 20th Century and started something called Internet shopping. Apparently some shops have closed down because they sell stuff for too much money and the unions are getting upset about it.

How do you move a field?

The problem is that the housing will house families, who have children, who need a school. The school becomes oversubscribed due to the influx of new people and the old residents get upset that their children can no longer get places at this school.

I've been on Hols for 3 weeks, so it is nice to catch up with the local news again:

Here is the is S. Essex news:

    G.Furnival has killed L.Willams ("beautiful & vibrant")
It seems he may have had some sort of fit and thus his Fiesta rammed her driver's mini onto the path of a BMW; somewhere near "Lakeside" on the M25.

Meanwhile the alternative paper reports political shenanigans, as the local authority is run by the Mayor because Labour and Tory have 24 votes each.
(A Tory has been filmed talking to a man with a map and so has had to resign from the Planning Committee - OMG)

    http://www.yourthurrock.com/2011/05/25/former-mayor-redsell-quits-planning-committee/

Yes supporting the education system by grabbing the planning gain is universal:

    http://www.theenquirer.co.uk/Butts+Lane+development+%27called+in%27+for+planning+inquiry%20id=5035

    http://www.basildonrecorder.co.uk/news/8967393.Drama_studio_to_be_built_on_green_belt/

Perhaps better than financing another yacht in the South of France.

    John

PS In the walk to the local shop, I went down a couple of hundred yards of lane to get to the back road and on the way back collected the following drinks cans:

    2 Carlsburgh
    2 Pepsi Max
    1 Coca Cola
    1 Red Bull "shot"
    1 Orangina
    1 Special Brew
    1 Vimto
    1 Strongbow
    1 Euroshopper energy drink
    1 Zepplin (White Cidre)
1 Rockst*r (Exotic energy drink containing a dozen ingredients including 32mg / 100ml caffeine, made by AG Barr (that's the Iron Bru people I think)).
Plus the estate agent's particulars for a £50K trailer park home.

Some people are such slobs - but I suppose Mr T will pay me a penny each for this wombling.

    Huh???

I've been googing two things this afternoon. Internal stable partitions. Turns out I can get these cheaper than I thought. Now I have a dilemma. I really wanted block work, but it now seems likely timber partitions will be cheaper and quicker.....:( I could go for semi fancy victorian style fronts, but not the uber fancy ones, which would be more expensive.

I'd love to find a local builder, instad of bought kits, but I guess this would be more expensive too. :(

And also rubber. :) I google rubber every now and a gain, which sounds more exciting than it is. there is a equestrian building product which is pourable rubber to make a seamless cushioned floor surface. (normally you use rubber mats but urine always gets under them and stinks al winter long, I don't want them, won't have them). I'm trying to find a product like this with out ''equi'' in the name. It must exist and it must be cheaper.....I just can't find it yet.

I also need to find out if I need concrete under this or if I can put it on the hard pressed stone surface already there.
