Well, I've heard from the garage that the cheap c-max has been sold. So if it was dodgy then it's now somebody else's problem. Back to the drawing board.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

The eggs are not hidden, little cardboard tokens are hidden instead and are exchanged for the real eggs...so no eeekk over creepy crawlies.
It was a great success by the way and everyone had loads of fun.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
well....we think the window will need one more coat but it looks....ok. we agonised for ages to choose a colour which is essentially white
http://www.farrow-ball.com/shaded-white/colours//fcp-product/100201
but the colour, though not brave, looks really nice. Soft an cool and slightly drab, which is what we wanted. I hope we like it as much by the time we've done more windows. I did hope we'd do better than one a weekend though! And its only going to get worse as we tackle the more damaged windows that need more remedial stuff and the complicated sash bits. Every time one of us made a long suffering sigh about it today though the other reminded the sigher of the quote we had last year.
I took some different OTC painkillers today and they are ace. I've not been super productive, but by ten am I was comparatively skipping0 -
OH and me have been discovering tesco double the difference. We are on the way to being stocked up on dishwasher tablets....0

After reading 4 pages, gotta try not to miss anything
Pobby - always good to see you drop by. Sounds to me that you are holding up well. I'd go so far as to say progressing!:) That post of yours had a lot in it.:T
PN, sorry to hear the news. I know that your relationship with the "olds" is, erm, "interesting". Despite all that, they're still your olds. Best wishes for the coming months. I was a carer for a person with the big c for 6 months. If you want anything, PM me.
purch - you're starting to check this thread more often methinks. I assure you, I read around in 3 other forums. It felt that there were more crazy people than here. The difference here, is that the crayzees are quite well gone!:D That said, it wasn't a "Help! Bones..." thread;)
I'm still trying to decide where to go monday!
Went to the footy match today. We got lucky to get a draw in honesty. Fortunately, other results went out way.
I've been chopping trees down. I have figured out that chopping them down is fun. However, chopping them into little tiny bits so the bits fit in the green bags for the council to take away is less fun. However, they're all bagged up now & ready to go.
My peas & beans are sprouting.:j
Most of the toms I planted have sprouted.:j Every year, I plant tom seeds & look at them every day fretting that nothing has sprouted for 4 weeks & manage to convince myself they won't grow. Every blooming year.
Had a mate visiting yesterday, which was nice. He moved to wales a couple of years ago. Supposedly only for 6 months, & he's still there. Only get to catch up every 2-4 months, so that was nice, even though it was a flying visit. Sat in the sun over the park, til the thunderstorm started.
I think the sun has just about caught me, so I'll be covered up the next week or so...
sure I've missed something or forgotten someone...:oIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Extremely unhappy to discover that Google has a database of wireless router locations. So, from the MAC address of my router they know where I am. Rather more info than I want them to have.
Try this linky http://samy.pl/androidmap/

My router's not on there. Does your router allow you to change your mac address? You'll need login to it and adjust settings. Some do, some don't.0 -
Olidaymakerz .... *rolls eyes*.
7.15: It started with the fire alarm going off ... I was up and dressed and half way down the stairs thinking it was ours before they turned it off..... OK, so that's my lie in over. Back to bed.
08:15: Their breakfast over, everybody dressed ... let the kids out into the garden to run around and squeal. Thanks.
Gonna spend the day feeling like sh1te now. (I just had to edit this 3x to correct errors)0 -

Our neighbours have young kids, and they run around the garden screaming, too. The only difference seems to be that we like it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
