Giff Gaff is O2. I've just moved over to them, and I have £15 worth of credit, which is likely to last me 5 to 10 years. I think the unlimited internet deal has ended.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I do feel sorry for MR BE. As LJ says, he's a good bloke and unlikely to pull a stunt. While his find may help others, it sure isn't going to help him, :(

Unfortunately, the Police could literally pull his house to pieces. They so weakened Fred West's house that it had to be pulled down, and although Mr BE is an innocent party they don't need to compensate him for the destruction.

    hi all,

the thread has been removed and it's a police investigation now so it would be advisable to stop speculation until there is more news.

I'm going to delete some of the posts linking to the invalid thread and it would be helpful to maybe obscure the user name.

Thank you missk. It could be important for other reasons than those listed to obscure the details too. I hope people accept that. :)

Why is that then? That doesn't sound fair/right at all.

Site seems to be loading now. Connection is still the same speed, but it's loading. Before it was slow and not loading. Connection was forever "waiting for" or "transferring data from" without progress.

I've plugged the dongle into a 4-port USB so I could place it about 8" higher... no idea if placement helped, or if that's a coincidence.

    Session average is now 52kbps.

Och, I'm sore tonight :( And I caught the sun (despite wearing factor 50) and I'm going to be all freckly soon. (notably, the biggest tan lines are the ones from before midday when I changed). But my back and legs say ''no more'' for tonight so I'm going to have a bath and an early night. I wish my bath were any of the baths Michaels would consider.....

On a related but different subject, some folks on allotments near mine found some Roman artefacts in the mid 80s. It wasn't long before the archaelogical boffins moved in, declared the site of particular interest and organised a Big Dig.

The allotmenteers were sent elsewhere, and over the next couple of years their plots were systematically searched down to a depth of about 4'. I never saw the end of it because we bought a house with a large garden.

I'm sure all the objects recovered were very beautiful and/or informative, but the allotment guys who were displaced found it hard appreciate the 'reward' for what they lost.

I think somebody over-emotional about buying a house just 'got short' with me in the buying/selling board.... so I gathered all my inner strength (not being one for confrontational moves) ... and pointed out my thanks count might indicate I do contribute constructive responses :)

Then I ran here to hide.

I'll go and (verbally) beat them up, if you like! :)
