This forum gets a lot of trolls and sockpuppets. Newbies therefore aren't trusted until they've been around for long enough for us to get the measure of them. It's nothing personal. I welcomed you because you seemed to have been posting "real" posts on some other boards of the forum. Come back any time you feel like it, or just enjoy the parts of the forum that suit you better.

One of the puppetmasters is a guy whose original screen name was mewbie - hence the pun on (n/m)ewbie.

Thanks Lydia. I am honestly new to MSE but not to forums, so maybe thats why I come across a bit "familiar" to the whole set up.
Just on here for a laugh and most importantly some bargains :D

    Living and loving it :)

I've spent most of yesterday and today following my new interest - and it's lead me up avenues I didn't even know existed. I'm now so far from my entry point it's unbelievable. I am an expert .. I've studied, read, researched, watched videos, read books .... and actually touched/made absolutely nothing :)

But one day I'll have some space and light and a table and stuff .... and will be happyily absorbed for weeks at a time.

I need so much stuff. So much stuff others post "just get it at your local...." only there is no local.... anything in this county, or probably the next.... so everything I end up buying/trying will have to be done online. Such an annoyance that I can't go out and buy stuff in actual shops, big shops, where you ask for something and they [a] know what you mean have it.

    :)

    LIR: AWWW...what a lovely story

fc: if you're around, I'm so sorry, I know I have a PM to reply but I haven't got there yet. At the speed you're moving, you've probably already decided....

I ache from overdoing the garden but it badly needs it. Went to the tip twice today, filled up all the compost bins and we still have trees to chainsaw :( This is the one time of the year when I really want a smaller garden.

Now to fold newspaper pots as I have run out of big modules and roottrainers for peas. Need to do broad beans, start some dwarf peas and figure out all the flowers and anything else I have forgotten to sow. And need to get some dried peas for pea shoots. ARGH...

Thanks doozer, its a lovely marriage. I'm very blessed :) Undeservedly so I think!

Right, this census again (I decided zero cars, which is inaccurate but so is any other answer!)

Now...nationality. Being a mongrel I tend to describe myself as citizen of the world, rather tritely. All thats fits is citizen of the wo DHthinks I should leave it at that. I'm tempted to lie and say ''English''.

    I hate multiple choice.

edit...and now the race question...no appropriate box at all. I'll just say white other, but no description that fits is right.

Crikey, you lot do ask some complicated questions don't you! :D

I'd put one down as the other one is only there every now and again. The borrowed one is there at the moment - its Census day today and you put people who are staying overnight down so I'd apply that to the vehicle too I suppose!

(P.s. these are educated guesses rather than definitive answers - have just flicked through my instruction manual and they don't really cover answering this type of question)

Too late, I put zero because I called my mother whose car I have now and she said if I put her car as mine on the census it would have been counted twice, as she put it. ;) We also dithered over the journey to work question for dh, as well as others. I hate multiple choice things as it essentially requires you to tell untruths so does the truth have to be bent to fit the answers.

done. The answers been very little though. Sadly.
