I do quite a lot of my best work between 10 at night and 3 or 4 the next morning. I make a cup of coffee or two and just settle down. I'm more relaxed and there are fewer distractions than during the day. Sometimes I work through until 6 AM or so, then grab 2 hours sleep and a shower and start again at 9AM, but then I'm exhausted by 5 or 6 in the afternoon and have to go to bed. It's a good way to catch up with things.

The majority of my study has to be done between 12ish and 4 in the morning....it's the only time the house is quiet and the time is mine! Even during the day when the boys are at school, I get phone calls from the school, from eldest or from some begger trying to sell me a new kitchen, or there are appointments or meetings to attend, housework and shopping to do.

Luckily, it is also when my brain is more able to think clearly.....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Probably along the lines of "Looking for a texter from xxxx...anyone?"

I use it sparsely and only ever tweet myself if I am desperately looking for someone to help with my site.

It all feels a bit odd as the b/day was about 4 months ago now - and I just stayed quiet :)

Adding value ... I guess I can see that; I'll have invested many months of re-skilling, costs, research, 100 hours/week researching/thinking/investigating into producing something that by then will be "p155 easy", so I guess so. It just feels so .... fraudulent.

I saw a bit of the news earlier and thought of you.

Excuse my maths, but isn't an 8 figure sum:
    1 figure = £1-9
    2 figures = £10-99
    3 figures = £100-999
    4 figures = £1,000-9,999
    5 figures = £10,000-99,999
    6 figures = £100,000-999,999
    7 figures = £1,000,000-9,999,999
    8 figures = £10 million?

:rotfl:I meant 4 figs doh...Had had 2 big glasses pre post though
No, I'm a short, middle-aged, whiney woman who'd moan (if I could even lift it up) .... manual labour isn't really my thing.

Maybe I could do some "poncing about with mixes and wandering around with a clipboard looking important". That's more my thing.

    That sounds good.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Love it LIR.....how is it on fuel?

Hello and welcome Queen of the Jungle. :hello:

The "nice people thread" is a place where those who like to hang out on the house prices board are allowed to get off topic. We're a friendly bunch, so do join in. :)

Could you people who have signed up as census staff give me some advice please? I've just submitted mine online. I let the kids come and click their own answers so they could feel included (and then banished them from the room while I checked everything over ;) ).

Typically, now that I've clicked "submit" and it's too late to change anything, I've decided that I think I may have got something wrong. After I'd finished, I had a look at the Scottish census site to see if it was much different, and realised that while the Scottish site says to say you own your house "with a mortgage or loan" if there is a mortgage or loan secured on the house but the English site says to say you have a mortgage or loan if you have any kind of of mortgage or loan that must be repaid.

I'm in England. I have a loan from my family that I am intending to repay, although nothing terrible would happen if I wasn't able to - the outstanding amount would just be factored into the calculations of sharing out my parents' estate between us four siblings when they eventually die. It's an informal arrangement and nothing's secured on the house. I have no other loans.

    So, lemonjelly and Nikkster:
    a) What should I have put?
    b) If I've got it wrong, does it matter?
    c) If so, what should I do about it?

    Thanks.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

wretch...Iput my census for ''some where safe'' to fll in missing bts tonight now can't find it. I thought about filling it in online but you need the form to do that too...where DID I put it....

I have a dress that's too small that I NEED to be in a month from now. I'll be firing up wii fit for the first time since moving (and didn't have it for all that long before that) for the next month. I can't believe I have GAINED weight since this new austere and busier lifestyle :( When I die I'm,going to need a square coffin.

FC, its not my tractor, nor was it my diesel, but I left a bottle of wine and a note to let me now how much fuel I used so I can repay. I was driving in a low gear for the first half of the morning. I got quite nifty by the end. :) I'd like to have a go at hedge cutting this season, but can borrow that attachment. When I win the lottery I will get a tractor AND take my HGV test and buy a HUGE but electric HGV.

I'm thinking of throwing a shin dig, a real big old me style party this summer. I can't really afford it but we did promise all our friends, when we eloped, we'd have a house warming instead of a wedding....so, it seems that we have a social debt.....

Sounds exciting... Where did you elope to? And how long ago? Was it fun? And what did everyone say when you got back?
