I agree. Even if you are just skimming I would play safe and wait longer.
Careful with those pots of paint. From experience what can look beautiful in a little patch can be nauseating when all over the wall.
That all sounds really negative, its very exciting that you are moving in. Hope the move goes well

My wife has to take videos of herself and record clients's speech as part of her training - as a speech therapist. Fortunately for her, she does not have to demostrate the ability to download these recordings onto her PC. So, that's my little job to do for her. Do men just think these things come more easily to them, and with that confidence they just get on with it, or are they actually inherently better at it?
Oh, btw, LIR, I can imagine the conversation with your husband:
"Can you put some music on this for me"
"Sure what do you want?"
At this point, the conversation sort of branches.
Branch 1, you give him a detailed play-list. Result is the job is done straight away.
Branch 2, you say "Oh just something nice. You know what I like." Result is that the job can never be done.
Are my prejudices wrong here?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Oh no! we're both ex musicians, so have very clear ideas of what we do/don't like and no each others tastes really well. And I had a list of some stuff...though not enough to fill it I don't think. He buys me cds all the time because I have a constantly updated wishlist.
we go through phases where in the morning we send an email not saying ''good morning'' just with a youtube link. Sometimes, when less busy we try and get a conversation going with titles or first lines.:o One of the thing that used to frustrate my parents is D was ACE at the game I developed as a teen...answering everything appropriately with the line of a song. It can be really annoying after a while I admit.
Still think I should have sent it to LJ to do for me. He would have done an ace job....0 -
Hmph, and did you try plan b? Making him listen to ABBA if he didn't put the music you wanted onto the gizimo?“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

There is little music he won't listen too. Occasionally if I'm feeling particularly aggravating I'll put Dido on and glide around the house pretending not to note the look of resignation. If I'm feeling downright ready for an argument Paul Simon goes on...DH thinks there is something wrong with him (we call each other Al and Betty sometimes). DH never argues. But he does wear headphones.0 -

Paul Simon (rather like Blur) I used to actively dislike but now find I can leave it on in the background as wallpaper and ignore it...I think....0 -
I have my new laptop..much better keyboard than the boys laptop and it has a number keypad!
Now in the process of getting all my music on there.......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Old vinny boy lost a lot of my respect in that article...“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
