Ladies and gents, C4, it is time...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Sometimes you have to decide whether to call NHS direct, your GP out of hours service, the local minor injuries unit, a private GP, go to hospital or call an ambulance.
So really a lot of choice.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. Are there private A&E departments?
Not that I know of. Lots of private hospitals can't handle their own emergencies either,I think, but if you have something they can deal with ...my experience was better private. edit: further more my experience was better London private than out of london private. NHS Italia though was fab for a home visit.0 -
Are there private A&E departments?
Few and far between. I recall reading about one attached to a big hospital (? near Paddington? possibly).
There are private GPs who do out of hours visits.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
