    sorry im confused by it all

    i have a son on middle rate dla we recieve all the stuff that goes with it and my husband works, so we get working tax credit

    but reading that it says i qualify is that right

    No because you get working tax credits you don't get the other qualifying benefit that's required for a CWP.

    Incapacity benefit is paid as Income Support, since I have a disability I qualify.
    So you get IB with a IS top up. IB isn't paid as IS.

    Because ib is a contribution based benefit so is state pension and you can have unlimited capital and still get them cwps are aimed at ppl who are on certain means tesred benefits who cant have unlimeted capital
  • How does it work if my daughter who lives with me gets carer allowance and a top up of IS and has a new baby, will she get the cold weather payment in her own right?
    I am eligible as I am on pension credit.

    income support with a child under 5 yes she will get it
  • Yay!! Got my first one this morning. I know that I'm getting a 2nd one soon.

    Still haven't received though my Xmas bonus of £10.
