My stuffing is incredibly basic: breadcrumbs, dried thyme, salt and pepper mixed with a little buttr (or similar) and some hot water to help it bind. It's delicious especially after meat juices soaked in. It's just what my mother always made and it suits us fine.0

Right, i have i bag of sage and onion stiuffing (@180g dry). Hubby not too keen on it. It will take me ages to get through this on my own!!! There is a recipe for making a rosti dish on the back of the packet that looks ok, however, was wondering if anyone has recipes for using up this stuffing in a dish..
Thank you

the bag of dries stuffing will keep for ages and ages allowing you just to yuse a weeportion at a time for yourself , store it in a jar with screw cap or i just put a clip on the bag and use as much or as little as i need
it makes great meatloaf added to mince if you wanted to use it up or add to sausage meat to bulk it out for tasty sausage rolls

I like it inside boneless chicken thighs just stuff them with it and then wrap in bacon to hold it together and bake as if it's a mini roast.
I also make it into stuffing balls and then freeze them and use as needed.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

This is what I do if I've bought a bigger box, depending on offers. It works out fine, just write down the qty of water used to the amount of mix so you know for next time.0 -
I always used to like it when we had leftover stuffing from Sunday dinner - mum would add it to the stew on Monday.
Or you could add it to some suet for herby dumplings.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
I add it ( not made up) to dumplings - which liven them up a fair bit - certainly enough to cause the family to break out in a dumpling counting war...Fight Back - Be Happy0

I love stuffing made up with a knob of butter too, then put in a small baking dish and baked til crispy - i'd have that any day of the week with veggies and gravy
Oh, and i've mixed made up stuffing with sausagemeat to make sausage rolls - they were scrummy0 -
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
