Afternoon All,
Still, plodding on, I have put a few coppers and a five pound note over the last week - the £5 was something I had to order on my card for work and then got given the cash back so I figured I'd already spent it so I wouldn't miss it so it went into the tin - I have absolutely no idea what the total is so far so its going to be an amazing suprise when we open up the tin
I also got quite excited when I found 12p in the street the other day - quite sad lol x

I get quite excited on a Sunday evening because that is when I empty my wallet and my OH's wallet and stick all coins that I can spare into my sealed pot. last week I managed £20 + but this week it was only a few silver coins
Where possible, I need to save a minimum of £10 a week if I am to save £500 come next xmas. I know some weeks are going to be worse than others but it would be nice to save at least £10 each and every week to be guaranteed my £500 return. I am so looking forward to spending my share next year ! I used to hate sunday evenings but now I actually have something to look forward to !!0 -
Thanks for letting me join
I am going to find a "pot" today and then start adding to it. I can't wait to get started :j

Hiya Ross, good to see you here with us, it's a great form of saving after saying goodbye to fags, you won't look back!Any box, tin etc will do fine, so long as you can seal it.
Lovely to see you enjoying it, Red, it's amazing how it gets us putting every single spare penny in the box. Don't worry, you're no alone, I get excited if I found 1p in the street!!
Hi Flat Eric, it's so good to see people getting such a buzz from saving, it's the novelty as well as knowing there are so many people doing exactly the same - saving as much as possible! :j You're no different to the rest of us, we all have times when we can save more than others, it's natural....it's life.
Bebs, it's so good to see such enthusiasm, but don't forget, a pot doesn't need to cost money. Anything that you can seal is fine! All the best, enjoy it!
Very well done, hismummy!!! :T

:jI have converted an childrens old shoe box into my sealed pot today, added £20 and loose change that i had in my purse and handbag that I hadn't spent over the weekend. It is a good start. I have just sellotaped my box but i do plan to properly cover and seal it....less tempting to open.
have been in all day so....NSD too!:)"Sealed Pot Challenge" member 1122SW - lost 2.5 stones0 -
