    Could I join please?

I would like to raise £300 in the year for my mortgage fund :)

    Thanks
  • £2.43 for me today. The kids were in school this morning, but I got a phone call at about 10.30 to go and pick them up as the school was closing due to the snow. I decided to take them into town (only about a five minute walk), as I had given them money to buy their Christmas presents. We wandered around the shopping centre quite happily for a hour or two (it was great with no one in the shops!) and then wandered outside only to discover over half the shops were closed and all the taxis and buses had stopped running!! Still it saved me a few pennies in getting home!
OH's mum is due to fly in from Belfast tomorrow to spend Christmas with us, but there is fog forecast there all day tomorrow and the flight arrivals are looking shocking at Bristol today. We might end up just the four of us, which will be a bit odd - it'll be our first one ever!

i remember when i was younger, money was a bit tight, so my mum use to give me and my brother £5 each to spend in the 99p shop to buy the family's gifts. I remeber buying my brother hair gel one year. When i was that age ( roughly 7ish) £5 was loads. happy memories :)

That's what it was like today - I'd given them £10 each to buy presents for 6 people and we went to B&M, Poundland and Wilkos. My two are 6 & 8 and thought they were loaded today!!! I promised them they could buy whatever they wanted without interference today, but had to try to persuade them that 3 cans of coke or a bottle of shower gel weren't really Christmas presents.:p
