Of course you can all join us,jennye.bull, miap1982. It's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Have great fun saving in 2011. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.

Dreamer, you're welcome to use another pot to put your 50's and under in, if it saves you breaking in to your pot, then you're going for a good option.

emiliah, thanks for the explanation, though my DH said it was probably an open fire you were referring too. There was me almost set to bring up loads of blankets! :p

Hi again, LMMS (little_miss_moneysaver), it's so good to see you after so long!!! You're still on the list and still number 360, some things never change!

Hi Observer, pleas go steady down that hill, it's awful out there now!

All best wishes for the year ahead, Winchelsea, I know it must be hard for you, but I do admire your inner strength. :)

A whacking £8.21 in the pot for me today, though possibly the last before Christmas. DH handed me all the change he had, bless him. :kisses3:

Ahh, thanks a lot dear Kerfuffle, you too misskaytee, your words mean such a lot! :) People such as you play a big part too mind! BTW Kerfuffle, no doubt you saw last year's total too on my sig, I'd still hoped for more this time. Still..next year! ;)

Another lovely lot of savings from you all, keep hard at it and stay determined everyone. Have a lovely weekend, but whatever you do BE CAREFUL and wrap up well!!!

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, please say the word, you're most welcome.

Finally managed to add some pennies to my bottle - wasn't sure if it counted as 'work change' or road kill but decided to go for road kill as it was found outside the building I work in.

You chose the correct term, scuba. Glad you've added some to your pot and are fully away. All the best for more 'kills'. Take care!

Thanks Sue, keep going back to re-read the GT....wow...just wow, again! So when do we start our assault on the bankers and MP's to clear the National Debt?

ETA Am now only going to be collecting bottle money for the next three weeks as I won't be seeing any customers at work until early January....a shop with no pesky customers - heaven!

Hello! :hello:to anyone out there. I can't sleep at the moment (most usual for me) so I am partaking in my new pastime.......reading posts on the forum and being inspired and learning things I didn't know.

I am setting out my intentions in this post, sharing with you all what I am going to do. I haven't quite worked out how I am going to become debt free but feel I need to start with a declaration, no matter how small and I will add to it as learn more.

I will aim to save as much as I can in my pot but my priority will be to reduce my debt. I am going to set myself a daily budget and any change at the end of the day will be potted. Of course if I find any money that will be a bonus and added to the pot.

I quite fancy the £2 challenge but I don't get many of those so I guess that will be more of a long term challenge

I am rambling now so maybe I am ready to sleep

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone,
Working overtime again today, so that's money for our trip to Poland next November. Managed 4 X £2 coins and 1 X 50p in to the Summer 2011 fund and also popped £4.72 into the sealed pot, plus 5p self service change from Mr. M's yesterday.

Enjoy the snow, wrap up, stay safe and keep saving
