Hi everyone, good to see so many saving, brilliant news!
It'll be a pleasure to have you with us, jennyjelly and Hollypop. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.
Please Holly don't smash your pot!!!! See my 1st post on the 1st page and see how I do mine and please don't waste all that money!
I was so sorry to hear about the very sad loss of your dear Granddad Cazzie, sadly the more we love folk the more it hurts when they have to go, but as lots of people have already said, time will help no end. Don't forget though, as long as you hold him in your heart he'll always be with you.
Hi Footiemad, any luck with any more weight loss this week? If not then maybe look forward to next week. Sorry FM, just read forward a bit and see your gain, no more to be said then..oops!
Dare I ask Sparky, do I take it that you actually bought a Lambretta suit for your friends Son's wedding? :idea:What on earth does it look like - a scooter I suppose? Please enlighten us further, thanks.
Good to see you back TheBees, even if only fleetingly it's better than nothing at all. :hello:
Well done on the £8 in your pot, Han, now all you need is plenty of patience so you can look forward to Christmas and savings in your pot without breaking into it!! If you leave it alone then come December 1st you'll be so pleased you did as the reward is sensational, trust me!
Well done cloudatlas, you're well on your way, good for you.
Hi Bebs and thank you grow much indeed for the welcome, much appreciated I promise you. Try to forget about the money you had to take out for the decorating and just think of it as you having started last Christmas, in other words don't really get you down just keep saving hard. I'm sure you'll soon get back into the swing of things, plenty of time yet anyway! Excellent news on nearly reaching your £40 on Onepoll!! I wish I was at close!
Oh dear scuba, so was that your mistake or a banker's mistake??? I doubt it would be the latter - most unusual for them to give something away, but…if it was, then treasure it forever and don't tell your Dad!! :silenced: :rotfl:
Marvellous news on £46.51 edinburgher! BTW congratulations on your move, I hope it's a happy one.
That's it now then folks, have a relaxing evening and a great day tomorrow!

Thank you for the number Sue, I feel part of the group now! :j
My piggy has had masking tape stuck over the opening in his tummy and has already bee fed £1.26 that I've found around the house over the last couple of days.
Something we did when he was a mortgage pig which others might like to try is this. If we thought about doing something tempting but unnecessary, like getting getting a takeaway or going to the pubor buying a DVD or CD, we thought a second time and if we changed our minds the pig got what we would have spent. It's amazing how often you find you would rather save it than spend it! :rotfl:
Oh dear, here we go again.0 -

Well thats all folks. Oh welcome to the mad house Hollypophope you have fun saving.

I reckon it was my mistake Sue, counting money at silly am after a bottle of wine was never going to end well really.....
Mostly I was surprised it was only one bag I'd miscounted!
Hope you're still healing well now you're back with us. And a few more small ones in to my work tin this evening. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Just tidied up the contents of my purse - I mean - anything other than notes and golden ones make such a mess - huge sum of 61p.
Grand total of this weeks loss Footiemad - 1lb - not bad but when there is a long way to go ............. Hope you are managing to 'behave' yourself

75p in our pot last night, after OH was 'robbed'.
Think she's starting to get used to contributing after a slow start (and now she knows why I never have any change!)
Think we must have c. £150 in the pot already, getting quite uncomfortable to lift!0 -
Morning everyone

You're welcome jenny, we're a very friendly lot and love new recruits to feel a part of everything straight away, so it's great to know you do. All the best with saving.:)
Thanks for the very apt description of it, sparky, though my curiosity got the better of me last night so I googled them and........they're normal!! Don't know what I expected (other than scooter pics all over them), anyway yours sounds very dashing.
Oh well scuba, only you to blame then, still, at least you didn't lose out.
I'm not doing too badly thanks, scuba and Footiemad, another session with the Physio yesterday and even though she was obviously doing good it was so much more painful and swollen for the rest of the evening! DH's job to massage it today, bless him. Thanks girls but I'm getting there albeit slowly though I think the frustration of it all is worse at present. I've to start using Play Doh or something similar.....so I could be churning out amazing things!!
Hi blue_eyed_girl, I hope all's well with you and the car's gong well.
BTW, forgot to mention my saves yesterday - £3.51 in the pot for me.
See you later all, have a lovely day.:)
