wrinkled_english_rose wrote: »Hello everyone,
The last couple of weeks has seen my money vanish from my purse, don't have a clue why it shoud have been worse than usual. Anyway last week I had the grand total of 10p for the pot and this week I have £2.00. I am managing to keep up with my unofficial £365 in 365 and I also liberated a £2 coin from OH but that goes in a seperate pot.
I will try harder this week, there is no roadkill up here, even the postie's rubber bands have dried up!!
Hope everyone has a good week.

I'm glad I hadn't taken a sip of my coffee there
...I had visions of her scooping the roadkill up as you ran at high speed down the street. I think you should casually mention it to your mam jakes-mum. See if she's game, mine would clip me round the ear, or I'd get the 'mmmmmmm' sound. You know your wrong when you've been, 'mmmmmm'd'
:rotfl:
.
Loool unfortunately it was ME in the wheelchair and my mum pushing me down the aisles at high speed :rotfl: I found a grand total of 1p roadkill lol so she was obviously pushing me way to fast.
I came out of the fair £70 lighter and a full carrier bag of beads, buttons and ribbon heavier  but I could so easily have spent ohhhh soooo much more :D My mother is a terrible influence she kept parking me next to the beads and putting different ones in my hands! 'oh these are gorgeous, and these and these . . . ' I didnt stand a chance :rotfl: but she did buy me 3 big packs of buttons to try out mylatest fad of button necklaces so I cant be too mean about her :T.
Managed to hold on to 60p for my pot so a grand total of 61p in today and its weighing a over 4kg so a very healthy weight :T Still not full though, so I might have to cheat and go down the bank and ask for £5 in change :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
 Evening lovely potters
Its been a busy couple of days with netball and socialising. It was too late to come on and pot yesterday.
I have fed Rosie £2.91 tonight which covers the past two days. £1.63 for sat and another £1.28 for today.
Hope you have all enjoyed today, a little chilly at times but lovely that the sun made an appearance.
Hello and welcome to the potteres madhouseCazzieL T. Happy saving.
Hey there jakes-mum glad you had a good day sweetie and managed to scoop up some road kill. A fishing net would have come in handed me thinks, to make life even easier :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have a good day tomorrow folks whatever your doing.
Fat club tomorrow so there will be something to pot big or small and there will be the small matter of collecting my pennies from winning the footie sweepstakes and I am queenbee AGAIN for the second month in a row. :j :j

Oh my, its been a long time since I posted on here but I'm still potting like mad. I'm hoping to have enough in the pot to pay for the petrol for a holiday in June - going to Bacton, nr Great Yarmouth. Then it will be back to potting like mad to save some money for Xmas, I'll put an IOU note in the pot so that I remember to include the amount taken out for the total in December
Sparky, sorry but I've missed what has happened to Sue so hugs for her and I hope she is better real soon and well done on "doing" the thread
Happy Potting everyone and may all your deposits be big ones

You don't know my wife do you jakes-mum? You sound very similar with crafty gear. She was buying buttons and things yesterday too (at the car boot). She held on to them buttons like they were gold bulliion bars. You thought it was Christmas when she got home and started to sort through them

I think thats an excellent idea, im going back in November (mum has been prewarned!) so will buy myself one of those little ones you use in fish tanks (anything bigger I might not be able to pass myself off as slightly quirky . . more downright weird):rotfl:
Ah im afraid you will never understand the pure love we hold for someone elses old buttons unless you are a closet crafter yourself! and when you buy a mixed bag and find 2 THE SAME!! well thats just the best thing since some bloke sat down with a loaf and said 'you know what maude, we could sell it already sliced for more profit!'
My husbad just puts my 'oooo look at this fabulous red button' down to me being slightly eccentric (well thats what I call it) and has long since got used to me thrusting earrings made with beads wrapped in wire and button necklaces, in his face for approval.
Talking of my husband . . I showed him my nearly full pot gloatingly (as we were supposed to be in competition as to who can fill their pot first and he had a grand total of 3 coins in his!) and the crafty bleeder put his hand in his pocket and stuffed a rolled up note and 2 x £1 coins into his pot :rotfl: so donatition from hubby was £2 and an undisclosed note :rotfl:. Personally im hoping it was a £20:TSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
