would like to save as much as possible towards christmas and hopefully have spare to take me and dh out for a special meal together somewhere.:o

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your day is good, if not that it'll get better or you'll have a lovely evening doing what YOU want to do.

Not sure about the building up of muscle Sue, I haven't done enough yet but some would say I have plenty of muscle around my mouth :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Can't say I'm speechless at your words, Footiemad but I just have to agree with....and say nowt!!! With the rate of knots at which it works though, I'd think you'd lose 1/2 stone each week!!! :rotfl:I was just joking...I was.. Wasn't I??? :p All the best with shedding more Footiemad one way or tother!!

Hi henna, lovely to see you again. Not to worry about needing to open your pot, at least you had it to fall back on at a time you needed it. Thanks for popping the Total so far on your sig, great work - great saving too! All the best with the Safari Park. You Mum's done brilliantly with hers, good for her!!! :T:T

A very good amount in your pot, GOTL! :D

Hiya fishcakes, it was supposed to be chucking it down here today too, but it isn't and now I feel awful that you have it and not us. :j;)
Reb if you let Gettingbetter back on the naughty seat make sure she brings her Christmas chocs with her!!!

Flippin heck WER, for Christmas chocs I'll put myself on the bench!!! VERY good with the £4!! :D

Bless your Mum, Dory78, that's a Mum who cares a lot! ;) BTW your No hasn't appeared on your sig, just in case you haven't got the right instructions, try the following: Go to "User CP" at top left on the bar near where it says your name. Click on it and a list appears on the left hand side; click on "Edit Signature" and you're ready to put your No on.

See you laterfolks and very well done on all your savings.

It'd be a pleasure to have you with us, findingmyfeet. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving. :D You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.

You're on the Challenge now, findingmyfeet. If you're thinking of spending some of your money on treating your DH, then you have to think he's given you the pig to save with - wouldn't you?! ;)

All the best with your savings.

40p in the pot today, and because I couldn't contain my curiosity I stuck the blade of a knife in the slot to see how much room was left in the tin and about 1 1/2 inches of the blade went in so am extremely pleased :) I have decided that if I reach my £500 christmas target i'm going to treat the husband to a meal out just to 2 of us at the beginning of december and maybe tie it onto the end of our christmas shopping day :D

  • wow Sparky what a hero, I bet she was so relieved and well done on your road kill, I'd love to find a pound sitting on the foot path. I popped in our local shop today and there was about 6 pence on the floor but I picked it up and popped it in the charity box on the way out.

We're not bad Footiemad, we took the little one out yesterday but she's still not 100% so within the hour we were back home but we had some lovely snuggles. Hope you're ok. Have you listed your ebay stuff yet ? I can't believe everything I listed on Thursday night sold last night, after my ebay fees I should be about 150.00 in credit :D It amazes me what people will buy, I got rid of some unwanted toys, bits of clothing etc and couldn't believe the bids ... it's really motivated me to de-clutter some more !

I only managed to pop 45p into my pot yesterday with about 37p today although hubby is home so perhaps I should raid his wallet ;) I'm going to seal my pot, weigh it and pop it in the back of the wardrobe and start a new one, it's only cardboard and it feels like it's going to give way due to the weight of all the shrapnel !

Anyhow I hope everyone is well, I must go and wrap up my ebay parcels so I can get them off in the morning, take care everyone it's so cold outside, xx
