Hi! could I please be added to the list. hubby and I got a right shock this year at how much Christmas costs together. We had our first Christmas being married/being employed (recent graduates). Buying for two families is pricey! Even when we use Home Bargains. lol! :rotfl:

    Welcome

Just 10p into the whiskey jar for me today, However... sent hubby to work with a fiver as i had the oven cleaner in the oven and forgot to getsome bread out so couldnt bake it either, so will make sure ig et the change back off him for the jar :) also got very bored whilst at home today and counted the whiskey jar change! I have £11 86 in there and wont have any idea on the cinders tin until its full! now to decide whether to change the whiskey jar money to post into the cinders tin or just leave it filling up?
also phoned about a job today so will get the application form through the post soon, chef in a nursing home for £9ph, also where i was working at the safari park are looking for permanent staff so may apply there too.

    Hi all

Please do forgive me if I am doing this incorrectly, I would very much like to join the challenge. Just registered on the site today. Have not yet completed any of the online financial assessment but working on it. Just fed up with being in debt and time to grab the bull by the horns. I would really help me to put a little aside for next christmas and some signficant birthdays this year (a 21st and a 65th!).

Many thanks and looking forward to saving and working on clearing my debts this year which are huge :(

It's home made spag bol, done with turkey mince, it's the only way my DW will eat it as she doesn't eat red meat or pork and the recipe for the tom sauce is my own too ;)

    Hi all,
Still putting money in the pot,it's such a habit now and the amount grows so quickly, without you realizing, that sense of satisfaction is great! I'm not saving for anything in particular, however it does give me a feeling of security.
Keep saving in the pot everyone!
