Woohoo - putting a whole £1 in today - our neighbour buys eggs from us as we have 4 chickens and going to put the proceeds into my jar. Oh yes, and 3p I found in my purse too. Every little helps!!!!!

£4 from me into the pot today.....but a big chunk of £30 from the bank as OH decided it was a good idea to snap the chain and do something to the sprocket on his mountain bike last night :(

Get paid tomorrow and there SHOULD be a bit extra with him working bank holiday Monday and Tuesday (fingers crossed it should be time and a half at least :) )

Hi! could I please be added to the list. hubby and I got a right shock this year at how much Christmas costs together. We had our first Christmas being married/being employed (recent graduates). Buying for two families is pricey! Even when we use Home Bargains. lol! :rotfl:

I think I've exhausted the supply of hidden coins in my house...boo hoo, all I can find today is a paltry 25p for my pot. I have also had 3 NSD's so no change in my purse either :(

Might have to go out tomorrow..........
  • I am feeling better after flu and I am loving this challenge, my tin gives me a satisfied smug smile every time I clunk some coins into it! Back to work today so topped up tin to £12,didnt add much but it is very satisfying.
Explained the pot to my sis in law and neice both looked at me like I was mad and laughed. I will make sure I tell them first how much I saved in my tin in dec :rotfl:They are the first to say how skint they are,,oh well u cant help some people!
£12 is an amazing amount for me to have saved!! I am good at bargains but rubbish at saving so its a personal best already !!
Thankyou to all who post and moderate, this is a lovely friendly thread.

Back from grocery shopping....a few chunks going into pot. Have told a friend about the "sealed pot challenge" she seemed quite interested, so I think I will make one for her.
