I started this challenge on New Years day and have so far saved £4. I have started to withdraw my weekly living allowance apart for food on Fridays after work and have now decided if there is any cash left from that allowance on a Friday it will go into my pot.

    Good luck to you all.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

Spotted a shiny £2 coin in DH's stock of change, so snaffled that for the pot today! :D He wouldn't let me have the rest, but can't blame him too much, it's his lunch money for the week!!

Have a lovely evening everyone, back to work tomorrow so will raid my desk and drawers for spare change...;)

They seeked it here, they seeked it there, they seeked it everywhere :D....Managed to get the better half, on her hands and knees (ooo er):rotfl:, looking for shrapnel for the pot. She found some that had kindly been 'posted' by the bairns under the mat, and under the sofa of delights:).
She also managed to find our old stash of 1 and 2ps from last year - woo hoo...:T

The grand total for today is £6.28 :j

Hope you've all had a good MSE day.

Ps the better half gave me a 'dig' for the hands and knees comment :rotfl:

  • Hallo all. Happy New Year.
Had a fabulous (if slightly too drunk) weekend in Paris. We went on a gay bar crawl until 5am. Not our intention, but they seemed to be the only bars open.
A few coins in my pottie and piggy-wig today.:A
Don't wanna go back to work tomorrow.:(:(:(

Hi everyone. I would like to join the SPC please.

I am saving to make a dent in our debts and will be putting at least 1 pound coin a day into our giant cola bottle as well as any other change we get.

I have emptied our coin sorter/copper jar into it and have 3 £1 coins in for the start of the week. I will be putting any denomination of coins in plus I have an online savings account that any spare money from my bank account will be emptied into on a Wednesday before I get paid on Thurday.

Hope to have at least £500 as I will have £350+ by December in pound coins.

If I could be allocated a number that would be fabulous :)

  • Hallo again. Wow, 2 posts from me in one day must be a recent record!

I just wanted to pass by and let you all know I've written a post here about what I've been up to over the last 12 months. You might want to share your year too. I'm actually shocked by the amount of free things there are out there.:money:

Sorted out the bedroom today and found some change lurking - so folks, my first total for my first year of this challenge is 25p ROFL . Still, better than nothing.
My pot is a Marrons Glaces box I nearly threw out earlier, but seeing its potential I covered it in parcel tape and cut a slot in the top - one free pot!
Tho I always put 1ps into the charity pots in shops and will keep doing so.
Heres hoping the coffee table drawers will have more in tomorrow.........

Still trying to reduce the toiletries mountain, now a hill........ :j
