  • Hi, I've not had a chance to read through this thread as it's quite long now but in regard to dog food I'd suggest Wagg. They do a version for sensitive stomachs, http://www.waggfoods.co.uk/products.aspx?ProductID=16

I fed this to my dog for a long time as he seemed to have an intollerance to many other foods and he thrived on this...with no runny messes for me to clean up afterwards. It cost about £15 for a 12KG bag and this lasted 1 month (based on 1 meal a day for a medium size dog). Lots of people on here 'rubbish' Wagg but I'd say don't knock it until you've tried it. As you've sadly lost your job and are having to make these cutbacks this is half the price of many other foods so may be an option for you. Hope everything works out for you.

Thansk for all the replies.... thought I show everyone what does a supper mean in my flat LOL

Kitties are nejoying Asda's "Tiger - kitten" and Zara is waiting for any leftovers..... :)

PAT done a mess with my order but I have won on it..... got almost everything double , called them - told me to keep it.

That included 2 of each cat and dog food storage bins :)

I got 16 bags of catsan (should be 8) and whole space under my bed is full of Go Cat both junior and normal (dry), all space under my daughter's bed is full of PAT own tinned cat food.....and got 2 bags of 15kg Chappie for free....

First time something like that happened to me but hey - they have messed up I guess it is not a big loss for them as such but a massive gain for us here - and I did call them, they told me to keep it :)

Catsan - hmmmmm It really is better than the wood based litter I was using, it does last longer - would be even better if 2 of my 6 cats did not have runny poo which is almost impossible to scoop up. Had one of them at the vets, had antibioticts etc, no change, looks like another vet trip.. and the first one was £120 owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :( BUt it was after hours and I got scared as Fred done a very runny, c9ompletely BLACK poo - that often indicates internal bleeding so jumped in the cab and took him to the vets straight away...

This if Fred with Zara's chicken....

The girls, Fiona ad Phoebe never had any stomach issues, with the boys - another matter, they seem to constantly have runny poo but otherwise there is nothing wrong with them, they run, fight, play like normal.....

Here Fiona and George with Zara....

    20101217_1347.jpg

And Zara guarding her bed - each time she moves, cats take the bed over...LOL

All kitties are growing up nicely, apart from the runny poo that George and Fred seem to have for no obvious reason...

    George relaxing on my bed:

And here just before George pounced on Fred - as you cn see, Fred suspects nothing.... Fred is such a lazy bum... always almost half asleep, George is a little terror...

Goodness our dogs are so similar!! however, Oakley thinks that cats love to play all the time... and my poor Annie valiantly tries to keep up for as long as possible, then takes refuge either on the back of my chair or on my knee. However, food sharing is no problem at all! 08112010011.jpg

I do love the look on Annie's face - "I'm having the big piece and you can have the little piece, because I'm still growing!"

  • Oh I do SO love to see all your furries together, it warms my heart!
Back on the idea of money saving, many butchers will have lots of giblets which customers don't want in their turkeys this week...I picked up a carrier bag full from my butcher today for FREE, all good nutrition.

Hmmmm Zara has a new bed.. so does George....

    20101217_1359.jpg

Phoebe and George - on MY bed....

    20101217_1361.jpg

Fiona... we call her Syberian Tiger LOL

    20101217_1362.jpg

Funny how they are all so different.....

Fiona stays away from everyne (human or animal) and only comes for a cuddle when SHE wants to, very independent....

Fred and George - they are like little dogs, George will ALWAYS come when you call his name. Fred will follow you without the need to call him - always under my feet in one way or another. Both love cuddles, my 2 boys but in very different ways... LOL

Phoebe, the smallest black and white girl is just sweetest little thing, cuddles up with me in bed, together with Fred while George and Fiona sleep alone...

I mean george sleeps with Zara and Fiona alone, on her little cushion on a chair in my room...

Fred is definitely my cat, Phoebe is mydaughter's cat, Fiona only really likes my daughter's boyfriend and george - well, George is Zara's cat LOL
