Nigella's "How to be a domestic goddess" has a recipe for squares of something that taste very similar to reeses: here. Her recipe is very similar to those already listed, but she uses muscavado sugar instead, which i think adds a more treacely/molasses flavour (which, frankly, i prefer.. when i bake "dark" cakes such as chocolate or coffee & walnut i often add either dark soft brown sugar or muscavado, as they give a better flavour than caster sugar).

You used to get Reeces pieces like smarties with peanut buttery yumminess inside, but I haven't seen them for ages. Can anyone get them in shops where they live?

they disappeared from my local woolies about a year ago, never seen since :(

    Hi everyone

Working really hard in the office today (not).

I bought some Somerfield peanut butter and I don't like it much on toast/sandwiches (I got some from Aldi which was fab). I can't chuck it out, however, and wondered if anyone has a good peanut butter cookie or cake recipe which it might be ok in.

    Thanks!

    Julia

that sounds delicious - i'll give it a try but maybe it would be nicer with a better quality peanut butter?

Those cookies look fantastic and the other ingredients will hopefully disguise the taste of the not too good peanut butter!!!! :T
