  • Am clucking chuffed now! lol

Just phoned Tesco's and was expecting a battle over a chicken ... He was brilliant and just refunded me the £2.04 :D

Even the £7.16 price was wrong on the substitution I reckon but never mind - I got a £3.58 chicken for £2.04 so can't grumble or get in a flap about it any more..

Not going to cluck over 50p!! ;)

Went to my local Tesco and bought 2 of them, both with the old price per kilo marked, but I expected the price to be amended at the till.
It wasn't, so I went to the CS desk and requested a price check and I was told the offer had ended and they refused to refund me.
I've just come home and logged onto the Tesco website and the lower price is still there (£2.04/kg) so I have just written to Customer Services to complain and request that they offer the DTD policy as I made a special trip into Hungerford tonight specifically to get 2 of these chickens as they are delicious but usually too expensive for us, but at half price they are fantastic.
I wonder how CS will reply?

Wouldn't hold your breath as your store showed the price you were charged.

You never know though - I think Tesco CS are instructed to err on the side of generosity judging by my experiences with them. Even when one CS bod says no, it pays to ring again and ask bod #2 who more than likely will say yes.
