Regardless of whether or not the payment card has expired , if a new card has been issued to you by the card provider , elephant would still be able to use the new card to auto renew.

Depends on how Elephant collect insurance premiums. If they use continuous authority then, yes. If it's simply a repeat transaction then, no.

No they don't. Freedom of information requests do not apply to companies.

Whilst true in itself, it would have been nice to mention the Data Protection Act, which is the equivalent act that requires corporations to release data though. A charge of up to £10 can be charged for digital information.

You should never get your insurance company involved unless you are going to make a claim.

It's part of the terms of the policy to report all accidents regardless of claiming so yes you should.

The gives personal data information but it wont supply commercial data and pricing decisions. Being supplied a copy of the application isnt going to help.

... the main reason women drivers have fewer accidents than male drivers is simply because they don't drive very often.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:thats because i'm at home, bare foot and pregnant, bringing up 7 children in a 1 bedroom shack, on a shoestring while my husband goes out to work down the mines. When he gets home, there is dinner in the table...its gruel and water tonight, his favourite...

That is being pedantic and almost pathetic.
It's being factual and to the point as is the process of taking uninsured drivers off the road so that we all enjoy cheaper car insurance - oh sorry, that is the dispelled myth that all consumers should ignore.

They do! Perhaps you should look into that point than coming across as the expert in everything. Check your facts and engage your brain before you open you mouth! It applies to the Police aswell and for a tenner you can find out what they have about yourself. The act applies to any company that holds electronic data on you.

To think you are being personally persecuted is paranoid and incorrect. High risk area and part in street. Two obvious reasons why your premiums have gone up. Plus, a no fault claim being a third.

Yeah im persecuted daily by twerps, aholes and d*ckheads seems nothing has changed coming for advice on this site.

None of quoted parts of renewal has changed, it was the same as last year and being a police officer i can tell you that the reported statistics for theft from and theft of MV has actually gone down for the 3rd year in my area alone! The highlighted bold is the sure point you have missed the entire essence of my post.

I have not made a claim! Fault or otherwise, the insurer is treating it as a claim made on my insurance when no such event took place in what seems a deliberate method of trying to increase my premiums and as a consumer of course i object. When i ask them why, they give me a whole load of excuses and it does not give me as a consumer much of a right to appeal. Of course im going to be narked. That is why i came on this forum for advice, but obviously i will pay no attention to your comments as you can hardly call them factual.

    You can't even get a provisonal licence until you're 17 ....
No, they claim that if you have children under 16 in the car as passengers your more likely to crash because they distract you.

The important thing to remember is that when it's time to renew your insurance the insurance company you are with often appoint someone to hold a gun to your head.
Certainly is feeling like it. Almost in my book as Demanding money with menace's, blackmail, malicious communications, retaining a wrongful credit and obtaining a percuniary advantage.:)

What's stupid is that you imagine the value of the vehicle and the premium you pay must be connected.
Funny, seems to be the point of car insurance doesnt it? Insurance is supposed to be about compensating the loss or damage 3rd part or otherwise of a vehicle and even more recently the increasing nessesity of a compensation culture we seem to have adoted from America. 15 years ago the driver at fault just had to pay for the cost of the ambulance. The fault then used to be decided by the Police and to a certain point still is what the insurance company accepted.

In my case i would not have deemed it to be my fault. Sitting at a traffic lights to be rear ended by the other party, who actually tried to drive off from the scene! Unfortunately for him i was expert at producing my warrant card.

Grade A twerp hey? Is that what all consumers are to be called today when they see anythign like injustice. What makes you such an expert? Do you work for said organisations?

You must be an awful policeman. It appears facts mean nothing to you. The Freedom of information act does not apply to companies. Companies are covered by the data protection act.

Have you considered that perhaps the reason you are persecuted that way is because you deserve it?
