No Buying Toiletries in December Challenge

Hello ladies!
Sorry I've not been on here much, I'm slightly low on time at the minute, with starting new job, trying to organise move etc.
The naughty step sounds like a great place to be! Unfortunately I've been quite good, but that's mostly enforced by the crazy high prices in Switzerland!
I have to admit, I was back in the UK last weekend (just, flight chaos...) as did see the S&G tote bag in Boots, which I had a very good look at. I decided against it though, as I only wanted a couple of things in it, and it looked so big I couldn't stand the thought of trying to pack it all
I did buy a couple of things in boots - 2 bottles of my fave Organix hair serum, as I'm almost out, and it was 2 bottles for £8...
I took a walk round town today here to check out a few more prices, as I think I'm going to have to do some bulk buying of toiletires over xmas in the UK - saw that hair dye hair was about 4 times as expensive as the UK!! No way am I paying those prices
And I checked, and adding toiletries to what I'm already having shipped over won't add to the cost, so that's ok
So i think my challenge over xmas sales will be to buy a reasonble stock of my absolute favourite stuff (no 'trying' something new just bacuase it's a bargain!) as cheaply as possible, and then sticking to the 'no toiletries challenge' next year will be very easy as it's so bl**dy expensive here!
So am Î allowed to do some bulk buying over xmas ladies?I promise, it's moneysaving... But if you really have to send me to the naughty step, I won't complain too much :A
Now, where's that BS sale...:D
PS Rosemary, sorry about your son's flightHope you have a great time with him when he does get home.

And I've realised something. I genuinely had never heard about S&G before I joined this thread. I had never bought a BS scrub, and rarely a body butter, and this leads me to the conclusion *pauses for dramatic effect then points around at everyone accusingly* that YOU LOT are a bad influence! :rotfl:
That is well said Pickle and I totally agree. Prior to joining here I was in my own wee world (with my big set of drawers of stash) quite happily unaware of glitches, bargains and freebies.... Now I have a fight with myself everytime something I like is flagged here.
Rosemary great news that you DS1 will still get to spend some time with you.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Fixx, glad you're settling in and we will allow you to stock up before going back to Switzerland (how exciting!). Is it as cold there? I am flipping freeeezing!!!!!!!!!
OK, so, plan for no toiletries success:
1. Do not ever discover Grabbits and glitches
2. Move to a country that's really expensive

Hello,
One In for me: neutrogena unscented concentrated hand cream, as it was 25% off and I was in dire need. My hands are beginning to split and the vaseline and S&G one I currently have (beginning to acclimatise to the scent!) just aren't moisturising enough. My face is also horribly dry but I'm just going to whack on more moisturiser and hopefully use it up faster!0 -

the body shop hemp hand cream is the best I've ever found, I worked as a cleaner while at uni and my hands were trashed, this sorted them out in no time....just saying in case this one doesn't work*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
One more UU for me... I am on a roll ladies! Aussie Mega Instant Conditioner, bought as part of the massive Amazin glitch last year so cost me about £1 (set of 3 products plus bandana for £3ish, I bought 3 or 4 and am still using them lol). WIBA - no tbh, it's not very good and I have got another one to plough through! Oh dear :rotfl:
I do like the BS hemp stuff but detest the smell, urgh!

I ordered some oils from eBay to try out the Oil Cleansing Method. (I got Castor Oil and Grapeseed Oil) I used it for the first time yesterday and the lovely Jehovah's Witness lady who's been dropping Watchtowers off at our house for 22 years commented on my lovely complexion! :j
Even though my rational brain thinks that was probably just a coinkydink - the less rational part of my brain is chuffed to bloomin' bits!:D
I have stocked up on some hairdye too so it should be a month or two before I actually need anything. I just think it's time I got serious on this challenge's @r$e! :rotfl:
Rightio, Off to update my list with incomings. Have a lovely day one and all.
V. Good news about your son Rosemary! :jNot everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

it does have an aquired smell (to be polite!) didn't just stop me from ordering 2 gift sets from the body shop sale though - one as a gift and one for myself.
So IN's for me (when they are delievered) include body shop hemp full size hand cream, full size body butter, lip protector and 15m foot protector, a bargain at £7 but not needed at all, I had planned to order it the other day when i made a body shop order but was out of stock, and then when I had an email to say it was back in stock this morning it was going to cost £10.49 inc delievery for one (the gift) or £14 delievered for two...anyway I'm sure I've failed to justify my purchase enough...
Budge up and make room on the naughty step guys :embarasse*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150
