Wow ! The British public are never satisfied !!
If you're ignored you'd say 'they weren't interested' !!!
Just deal with it..... and is it really worth a post ??!!
Runs off with tongue firmly planted in cheek..........................Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0 -
with xmas coming up, i doubt they (or any shop?) will have time for chat..
next time, go in wearing a hand made 'NO THANKS!' badge, or try another store?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I have always found saying "I'm okay, thanks, I'm just having a wee look" to do the job fine. They'll usually say that if I need any help to just ask them. Lush are very good with giving out samples if you ask nicely, which I have always liked.0

Never got past the door. The smell knocks me over."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

I buy online as the store drives me mad..It is the nicest hard sell ever and the staff are so cute and friendly it seems like kicking a puppy to tell them off.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

I can never even go in. From a distance it smells nice. By the time I walk past it's like someone is spraying hairspray in my eyes, I can't breathe and tears are streaming down my face. Do they fill their stuff with nice smelling anthrax?0

They're all supposed to do it. Someone on here reported about doing a Lush mystery shopping exercise and staff are supposed to be doing this all the time, plus a demonstration of a product to each customer. I just tell them now "I'll let you know if I need your help" and never seem to be bothered by more than one.0

i wonder, is this place run by a mix of pcworld / body shop rejects?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I love lush! Last time I went in they kept my children busy by showing them demontrations of the bath bombs and bubble bars so I could have a proper look round and browse in peace. Now not many stores would do that, would they?
I've been to 4 different local stores to me and have never met a pushy sales assistant yet. If you don't like the smell but like the products, may I suggest that you visit when they open before they start demonstrating the products or order online. lol. They also have some of the best customer service I have ever come across!0 -
i'll be honest the sales techniques as at lush have always suited me down to the ground! both my missus and daughter love lush and i know the wife likes lavender, so at christmas i've always been able to just walk into the shop and tell one of the many assistants 'i need a gift set with lavender in it' and robert's your father's brother!0
