OK you got me hooked into this, I read all 20 pages.

Seriously seems to me that she has probably been told not to use this site anymore. Where I work there has recently been a major crackdown on this sort of thing.

Anyone who has spent lots of time on the net have their records flagged by IS, and the line manager informed. I am a line manager and have been informed on two occasions about staff, and have had to warn them to keep usage down to lunch breaks only.

Many people only have access to the net at work and get hooked into boards like this as a support network (as you're all so helpful), but it's one they can only access in work time, and it means they get very little done.

Even on the morning before the big lunch she was clearly on here all am.

I'm a bit worried for her, does anyone know if she accesses the net from home too? Does she post out of office hours?

EDIT - PS, and yes I did raise the issue over lunch with one employee!

Not to bring morbidity to this thread too much but her job from what I can gather is fairly important and to get chastised over lunch about using the net seems a little overboard IMO but each to his own of course. You mention that even on the morning before the big lunch she was clearly on here all am, I believe that particular point is quite irrelevant because the whole reason she started the thread was because he had already invited her to lunch "That was where the thread started" ;)

This is really strange, Lou you out there. Ok my theories:
    a) she's having a great laugh watching us
    b) this is part of some research project into how involved people get in online message boards and the research people are forcing her not to reply
    c) she got such a shock by how good the news was at lunch with the boss that she has forgotton her password to get back in
    d) alien abduction

    Seriously though where is she?

    OK IGNORE THAT SHE'S BACK!
