So at what point does the suspense turn to anticipation, turn to anxiety, turn to worry, turn to panic? Anyone know what part of the country she lives in? Do we call the police after a week and say "um, there's a girl we know who vanished said she was going for a lunch date with her boss, and she never came back..No, I don't know her real name, or where she worked, or what she looked like"
Sorry, the missus reads a lot of crime novels. This would make a great opening chapter.
And !!!!!! off - I thought of it first, ok?0 -
maybe she has been told to not use this site?0

I wouldn't want my employee to use this site after some of the bloody stories and theories going on here this past 24 hours:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -

I suppose it's possible to check whether she has posted in the evenings before? If not maybe she only has internet access at work at the moment - and if she can't do it at work for some reason it may be a while before the mystery is solved!
Like others have said though I can't believe a boss would take you out for lunch to tell you not to use the internet!!

OK you got me hooked into this, I read all 20 pages.
Seriously seems to me that she has probably been told not to use this site anymore. Where I work there has recently been a major crackdown on this sort of thing.
Anyone who has spent lots of time on the net have their records flagged by IS, and the line manager informed. I am a line manager and have been informed on two occasions about staff, and have had to warn them to keep usage down to lunch breaks only.
Many people only have access to the net at work and get hooked into boards like this as a support network (as you're all so helpful), but it's one they can only access in work time, and it means they get very little done.
Even on the morning before the big lunch she was clearly on here all am.
I'm a bit worried for her, does anyone know if she accesses the net from home too? Does she post out of office hours?
EDIT - PS, and yes I did raise the issue over lunch with one employee!0 -

Yeah.....I must admit I'm getting a little concerned. Not that anything untoward as happened to her but that she may have had some bad news or an !!! kicking and has gone off hiding in a corner somewhere to lick her wounds.
Seems strange for such a regular poster to go on radio silence so abruptly.
Seriously, does anyone else on the forum have any personal contact with her, who could maybe send her a text? Say Hi? Tell her theres a bunch of eager, nosey, anxious people waiting with hugs for her in the DFW section?0 -
