I'm back - and can report that I have had 6 NSD days since last reporting in - I think that makes my total 15 in all which is brilliant

I hate that "forced jolliness" feeling of Hogmanay. That's a terrible confession for a Scot!:o
Yet another Scot who isn't into the excessive drinking/partying on NYE. Having grown up with a father who "drank a bit too much", but who took NYE off (strange!) and let Mum out to have fun (which she did!)... I have a strained relationship with hogmanay.

So DH, DS2 and I will see the New Year in munching on nachos, having a tipple and watching Jools on telly...then off to bed....pretty boring really.

Must go and get some cleaning/tidying done...still get the urge to get rid of the Auld year's dirt!!! We will be taking the decs down this weekend...DH is off to the US (work) on Monday for the rest of the week, so need to get him to take the outside lights down, so may as well take down everything else....it all must be down by the 6th anyway!!

Off to pop in to say hello to Mike's Mob over on another thread..DIY SOS was brilliant last night...and it could well have not happened if it hadn't been for MSE, people power is fantastic!!!

I may pop on later in the day...if I don't make it...

_party_:dance:_party_Happy New Year to you all!!!_party_:dance:_party_

See you on the new thread, once it's up.

Thanks again to Spoon and BMF for all your hard work and advice...we would never be doing so well without you both! :T:j:T:j

Oh by the way...have notched up NSDs 16 and 17, so 17 NDS for December...target smashed!!!

moring....errrr...afternoon all :o well it turned into a bit of a late night last night and I didn't get to bed 'til gone 3am  However, on the up side we're not going out tonight so I can have a nice chilled day tidying up ready to see in 2011. We're off out with friends tomorrow night instead (they have kids so its diff for them to get a sitter on NYE) and tbh - I am looking forward to that much more than had we been going out tonight.

I'll be dropping in later for some eggnog and cheese and pineapple - once I've glammed up a bit :rotfl: see you all later x

It's already been said but thanks to BigMumma and Spoony for keeping our lovely thread going every month, and thanks everyone for the advice, inspiration and giggles over the past 12 months.

I'll see you all in 2011 on the new thread, have a good one whatever you are upto. xx

IVE FAILED ;( spent some money this year, absolutely had to buy milk and a postage stamp to post off my business insurance, never mind, apart for a bag of corn this is all ive brought since Xmas eve so not too bad, but not as good as I'd wanted.

Uhoh Jane! There's will be reds lights a flashing all over! They are programmed to do that if any-one mentions the "f" word! There is no such thing!!!!

You've tried and managed a darn site more than you would have if you hadn't been paying attention. And December is a B*gger of a month for unplanned spends. Especially if there happens to be weather and travel chaos! So give yourself a pat on the back!

I'm now at my second job and will be here most of the weekend so I can safely declare 13 as my total for December.

I'm quite chuffed as i thought I was pushing it aiming for 14. But I got further than I might have done if I'd only aimed for 10 as I thought I might do. :D

Well done to all of us and especially to Spoony for her fabulous work.

And big congratulations to those of you reaching phenomenal targets for December. May I one day reach your levels of forward planning and self-discipline! :T :T :T :T :T
