    Good morning chums!

Well, here we are on the last day of the year, where has it gone?
I like to have a wee reflection on the year past, and look forward to new beginnings.
I never thought I'd "meet" such a great bunch as you lot - you are all so supportive and you make me chuckle! ( a lot!):A
A major thanks to Spoon for all her work in keeping us going, you are a star:A and BMF for rallying us with the guidelines, brilliant!:A

If we added together all our NSD's as a group over the year can you imagine how many days we have kept our hard earned cash out of "the system"? Power to us!:T

Nargle - great idea about the New Years Day NSD Open House, I'll be popping in for a Twiglet and a glass of Pomagne. Just keep Hubert away from the cheese on sticks, they wont agree with his innards:(

I'm up early as I'm going to A$da sharpish before it gets busy. I nipped in there yesterday to the post office and you would think there was to be no food or drink ever again the way folk were carrying on! Its open on NY's day for goodness sake!
I also want to phon the garage re car, I'm hoping he can look at it today - fingers crossed!;)
Will pop back later to catch up

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.
  • Hi everyone,

End of the month, end of the year and the start of a new NSD year..whoohoo!

Starting my frugal 2011 in earnest...with an overtime shift on quadruple time :D on NY day...yipppee!

Looking forward to our new year on the thread

    Morning all

Unfortunately, don't think I'm going to make my 10 NSDs as only managed another 2 over the Christmas holidays - so total 7.

I'll have to take comfort in the fact I didn't start until 10th of the month, and December is probably the most difficult time.

Well done to everyone who has reached their goal, and Happy New Year to you all

Oooooo...... do I hear rumours of NYE shenanigans for us NSDers :D
Will pop in and out if so :)
I'm at work until 6:30, and will have to catnap at some point during the evening as the hound is bound to wake me around midnight when the local lunatics start letting off the fireworks (hence I catnap on the settee until then, 'cos it's harder to get out of bed in order to try and pacify him!). But I won't be able to dance until dawn, 'cos I need to catch some proper sleep in order to be able to function at the wheel of my automobile tomorrow morning ;)

Need to do a tot up of my December NSDs, but don't think I managed more than 6 or 7 of my much hoped for 10 in the end (and today is another spend today as I need to go and get the makings of certain turkey salad butties) - but it's not the end of the world, and I've well and truly smashed the 2010 target I set twelve months ago :T

  • Good morning everyone!

I managed to clock up one more NSD yesterday, which means I reached my revised target of 23 NSDs!! Woohoo!

Spoon - once next month's thread is up and running, I'd like to pledge my lucky 19 NSDs as usual - thanks for keeping the thread going, and thanks and well done to everyone on here - the encouragement everyone shows each other is fantastic.

Looking forward to even more MSE ways in 2011! Have a brilliant celebration this evening everyone, and see you all in the new thread - next month - in 2011! tenerife-forum-fireworks-smiley.gif

  • Didn't manage to meet my target this month. Did get a nsd yesterday though, so 80% met I guess isn't bad for December.

Can you put me down for 10 again in January

Thanks Spoony for everything you do to keep thing thread going
Thanks to everyone else supporting me and others
May 2011 bring you everything you wish for.
  • Hi all,
I'm up to 14 NSDs of my total 15. If I manage to not spend tonight, I'll have achieved my target. I'm not going out, but my sister is coming round for drinks and food - and I have no drinks. So I might not make it! Fingers crossed she'll be feeling extravagant and bring a couple of bottles round.

Just back from my grocery shop, small spends today as I have freezer stocks to run down, so I needed things to complete meals IFYSWIM?
Only spent £19.52 and I had £19.23 left on my savings card so that was a result! Bargain of the day was A$da ES large sponge puddings, half price (£1) dated till May 2011. Got a golden syrup and a Belgian choc, well it would have been rude not to!;)

Still a spend day though as I had to get a birthday present for my Dad (Jack Duckworth's autobiography) and screen wash. The garage is closed till the 10th, so will have to wait to get the car booked in. OH doesnt think its anything seriously wrong as the car is driving ok
We'll just use Old Faithfull( the $aab) till we get it checked.

Just going to potter today, get a bit of housework done and generally relax!:D

    Hello everyone,

29th was a NSD. Yesterday wasn't as it was DD1's birthday and we had lunch out and went bowling - still did it cheaply though :)

I'm declaring today as a NSD too as the only place I'm going is to rent a film, with a voucher, to watch with the children tonight. A nice quiet New Years Eve for us and that makes my total 9 NSD for December - so close .......

I hope you all have a lovely day, whatever you're up to, and I wish you all a very Happy New Year.

Many thanks for all your hard work spoon, you are a star. I love this thread and you do a fantastic job. Happy New Year x
