2011 is going to be different. I am going to be cutting spending to the bone wherever possible, because things are rising in price all the time and we have the VAT increase to look forward to. Also I am on a payfreeze for the next year or so, so will have to make the money go even further. We will not be having a family holiday nor here, after finally replacing the cooker in the past six weeks....I will keep trying to grow veggies in the garden I REALLY must get some green fingers from somewhere, as I am notoriously good at killing everything apart from the blummin weeds  .... And I will try and stretch out the NSDs and make my target evey month next year! (OH) The Offspring might not like austerity measures but TheY (is) ARE going to get them by the bucketload, like it or not! Onwards and upwards!

Tizz all the people you don't realise ARE there until you are unfortunate to need them; at the power stations making sure there's enough ..power!.. to cook the dinner & watch the Queen's Speech, emergency services & armed forces of course, medical peeps, farmers, oil riggers, carers, voluntary organisations & charities...We've finally persuaded me muvva to have one of those alarms to wear around her neck, so if she should need someone in a hurry but be unable to reach the phone--& that is manned all day every day...you just don't think do you
Anyhooz. No surprise that I too can declare another two nsds for the 25 & 26th taking me up to 16.

Well, OH in a better mood today, he slept quite a bit yesterday afternoon and woke up just as I went out the door to do my night shift. He has been busy typing up notes for a meeting at work next week to sort out a long standing issue, and is planning to go in there all guns blazing - his get up and go has got up and gone and come back, his mojo is running on gas (them liquorice allsorts again, Big M....)but those purse strings are still going to remain tight, like it or not, sunshine! One life - your life - live it!0

Afternoon all! Well, after much effort I dragged myself into some human type shape and we spent yesterday evening at our friends - the boys had just bought a new Wii so we spent the evening playing on that - didn't get home until 1.45am  FAR too late for me these days lol! However I did clock up NSD #11 :j I am still sat in my pjd atm and have zero plans to go out so hopefully I will reach my target this month. Not done nearly as well as some of you guys but I'll pull my socks back up in the new year ..promise mistress spoonyFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'm declaring an early nsd today. I will be out and about tomorrow. Got free tickets to see the new film Love and Other Drugs. Going out to sales after that to get a last min Xmas pressie and to look for throws for the living room. The cat has almost shredded one of the current throws.
I'm staying at home, trying not to eat my way through the leftovers and trying to relax.
Not sure I'm going to make it though
Have a good one all.0 -

Really pleased...not been keeping track of how much I have spent...just when I didn't...not a very good idea methinks
Hope you all have had a great Christmas, and are now relaxing after the manic panic that invariably sets in, no matter howe how well you plan!
Just popping on to wave hello....will catch up later...sometime, not sure when though!
DS1 is 21 tomorrow and I have been trying to get the final pictures printed for his silly pressie (a large frame with lots of pictures of him, family and pets over his life)...unfortunately the printer is playing up :mad:...gave up on the colour, so tried black...but it just isn't playing ball...I know we really need a new printer...but why did it have to give up now!!!

Evening all ....well I'm going to go out on a limb and declare NSD #12 - which makes my Dec target :j:j Achieved mainly because I haven't left the house today.
Just cooked up a pot of turkey and sweetcorn chowder - think i should have left out the oregano and perhaps a little less salt, but i think it should be fine - will batch some up and freeze for lunches....so that's some of the turkey sorted...just an awful lot left to turn into various meals, never mind everything else that is left over - but I'm loathed to throw anything out this year - I WILL use up as much as I can....Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
