Has anyone received this and checked which maps are on it (what software, version, and date?). My i3 that I got last year is now starting to warn me that my maps are out of date.

Call Garmin, They'll offer to update for you but not at the moment as the v8 update is not being sent out as the v9 is out in a month or so, I was told the update is free, but then mines within the year since I bought it not sure if thats the case if it's over a year old.

Not out of the box, but can easily be added, See https://www.pocketgps.co.uk for info on how to put them on. They charge for updates, but I think theres one called poi updates (not sure of the web address) that offer them free. I'm a member of PocketGPS so I use theres.

The only cover UK as standard, have to pay for other maps.

Note, I read that Garmin I3 sat nav are no longer being manufactured so if you want one be quick!

This site gives you various POI's for free (although not speed cameras etc.) Some are more useful than others, you can scrub the ones you don't want.

You'll need to install POI Loader from the Garmin website first.
