Ok i've contacted Joules and asked where my order is - this is my response

As you may be aware, when your order was placed the Marlowe tights were listed on the website at £0.00 price due to a technical error.
For this reason your order did not proceed through to despatch as the system recognised that the order value was zero.
If you would still like the tights, please replace the order online at the correct price of £15.00 per pair or alternatively call our Customer Service Team on the number below who will be more than happy to place the order and send on a free next day delivery.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
If there is anything else that we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me or the Customer Service Team on 0845 250 7170 Option 2.

I've replied telling them what I think to their service and requested despatch of my order, i've told them that the fact that they have blatently chosen to ignore customers when the price error was their glitch is appalling, the least they could've done was email or phone but to ignore make things 10 times worse - I await a response.

Got exactly the same message, seems like a lost cause, no money was taken, it's been ages, I give up!

As per my previous post i contacted Joules again telling them what i thought of their service and this is their reply - they're not budging and i for a fact will never use them again
    Good morning Dawn,
Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delay in response.
I understand your frustration in this matter however, as stated in my previous email the Marlow tights were priced at £0.00 due to a technical error and we are unable to honour a zero value price. Please refer to the terms and conditions which you can find on our website at www.joules.com. In our term and conditions it does state that we do not enter into a contract of agreement with you until we despatch the goods. Our system fail-safe’s picked up the fact that your order total was of zero value and halted the order.
We always endeavour to contact customers as soon as possible if any error occurs on an order so I am extremely sorry if you did not receive any correspondence.
Again, I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further assistance

  • Think we put this one down to experience, guys, some you win, some you don't! It was fun to try, though.

Moral of the story, next time there is a zero price glitch, order something small so our orders aren't stopped by the system!
  • I don't really understand why some of you feel it's ok to receive a £15 pair of tights for free. Ok, they could have handled it a bit better but the whole thing is just ridiculous.

Are you kidding? Do you never take advantage of misprices, voucher codes etc...

They didn't come, i'm not bothered, in fact i'd forgotten about it until today. Joules should have contacted though, it's just bad practise!

Voucher codes are legit. That's not the same thing as trying to swindle a company out of £15. Before anyone starts the whole "I'm sure they've got enough money to spare" thing, that's besides the point. The price of the tights being £0.00 was an obvious mistake and it states clearly in their T&Cs that they do not have to honour such errors.

I agree that they should have contacted you. It was bad customer service not to.

To be fair Stabilo85, they didn't have to send people the tights!!! They review orders before they're sent out then I'm sure and if they still send them but don't charge people then that's up to them!!! I was delighted with my tights and since then I've ordered from Joules again!!
