with reference to the above order, just wandered what was was happening? My friend ordered exactly the same items but added a £1.50 gift bag so recieved the 'free' tights, so are you going to send these or not? Would rather you let me know either way as its not good customer service to just seemingly ignore the order!

    Kind Regards,

    Mrs Bakewell'

This is what i have emailed them! Nothing to loose either way!!!!

keep us posted with what they reply :)

Please do, and record the phonecall so we can hear their reaction! :rotfl:

You think you deserve an apology because you tried to take advantage of a blatant mistake? Get over yourself! Joules have excellent customer service when dealing with real customers. I doubt very much they want you to be one. :p

hear hear !!! just accept you were unlucky on this occasion and move on. i am new but thought the golden rule with glitches was NEVER contact the company about your order ?

I was being hypothetical - no need for me to get over anything.
I also didn't say I deserved an apology, I was being cheeky expecting something for nothing, we all were, I/we don't deserve anything, I was simply saying an apology/some form of acknowledgement would have been good business sense. I couldn't care less either way, I'm not going to cry myself to sleep over it.
And for what it's worth I am a previous good customer, but fortunately I've never had to deal with their customer service department.

I'd have been more likely to shop with Joules had they handled this better. As Natbag says it's not good business sense to send out orders to those who bought a little extra and ignore the other orders (although I think someone did only order the tights and received them?) If they didn't want people getting tights for free they should have sent a cancellation email through.

Ok i've contacted Joules and asked where my order is - this is my response

As you may be aware, when your order was placed the Marlowe tights were listed on the website at £0.00 price due to a technical error.
For this reason your order did not proceed through to despatch as the system recognised that the order value was zero.
If you would still like the tights, please replace the order online at the correct price of £15.00 per pair or alternatively call our Customer Service Team on the number below who will be more than happy to place the order and send on a free next day delivery.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
If there is anything else that we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me or the Customer Service Team on 0845 250 7170 Option 2.

I've replied telling them what I think to their service and requested despatch of my order, i've told them that the fact that they have blatently chosen to ignore customers when the price error was their glitch is appalling, the least they could've done was email or phone but to ignore make things 10 times worse - I await a response.

I received the free tights yesterday and was overjoyed since I only paid £1.50 for the shopping bag. But guess what when I checked my bank account Joules had the cheek to charge me the full amount for the tights without my authorisation. I am complaining to them big time, surely this is not allowed! :(

I was just charged for the gift bag I bought. Have you heard back from Joules yet? I would be very angry if I was you!!

Joules finally called me up after 4 days and said I would have to send everything back to them for a full refund, apparently I happened to order the tights when they were fixing the glitch so while my order confirmation showed £1.50 (one shopping bag and no charge for the tights) my invoice showed the full amount. The lady also said they have cancelled everyone's order that amount to £0.00. That is no true I know some lucky customers did get the tights but of course I said nothing. So well done for those who slip through the net!
  • I ordered the tights then week later decided to order the gift bag to see if it would generate my tight order.
Imagine my delight to find a lovely parcel from Joules which i knew was more than the gift bag the other day
Unfortunately it wasn't my tights:( or even my £1.50 gift bag:(:(
It was a child's jacket:rotfl:with the despatch note for my £1.50 gift bag... So what should I do ;)
Contact Joules and ask where my gift bag is?
Or keep the jacket which is £22 on website?:D

I really only wanted the free tights :rotfl:
