    No apology necessary, it's probably me being stupid, lol. I thought it was probably something like that! I think if it's part of the MoT, then the car will only fail if obviously, the warning lamp illuminates. That being so, if professionaly disconnected (ie; switched off in your daughter's case), no warning light will be present.
