  • I have opened a LLoyds account for my son,he's been using it for the last 8 months, he loves it. I transfer his regular pocket money on a monthly basis, and extra amounts if he does jobs etc. He is now a regular amazon customer, and can't wait for his own parcels to arrive!!

  • go to a bank that offers you the ability to link the debit card to a savings account incase the kid goes over the limit. It also may not be a bad idea to look into a prepaid debit card. Many banks offer these. You could also get one called greendot from any walgreens.

Also, under 18s will be loosing online banking registrations with HBOS shortly, so if your going to do it, do it soon.

I'm pretty sure that isn't the case as no money is being lent.

AFAIK the only pre-paid card offering Section 75 cover on purchases over £100 is the cashplus card.
