Debit card for a 14 yr old

My brother is always asking me to buy things for him on the internet and he's aksed if I can look into getting him a debit card so he can get his own stuff. I think it will be a good way of teaching him about money, bank accounts etc I wondered if anyone had any recommendations or anything I need to consider, he's 14 (15 in March).
If no-one expected shirts to be ironed then we'd all have time for more important things:T

I got my 15 year old twins Natwest Adapt accounts which come with a visa debit card - opened in branch with ID and no hassle

Santander 3% up to £500 on 11-15 account if credited each month with any amount.
If the kiddies parents/ guardians have their main current account/ mortgage/ investments with Santander that is boosted to 5%.

Ditto - though you may want to check that they also offer internet banking as well - from memory all do apart from Natwest who won't let you use internet banking if you are under 16 for their own odd reasons..

isn't using a debit card online less secure than a credit card?0
